To the average person, one would consider Madison’s job easy. A nice, cushy remote job where she played office dress up all day long. Sure it was fun, & not physically demanding, but at the end of the day, her brain was always fried. She’d spend all day at the cafe, either on her laptop, meeting w/ clients or working on projects. So when she got home, the first thing she did when she walked into her home was kick off her shoes, take off her shirt, pull down her pants & head upstairs to shower.
Her new life was perfect, or close to it. A great job, a reliable car, a new home she had moved into a few months prior. What could she complain of? So what if she had lonely nights laying in bed? Or if the pipes in her house made weird noises? Or if her master bathroom shower faced the street & had a huge goddamn fucking window that gave the whole neighborhood a view of when she showered & she was forced to shower in the late night when it was fucking freezing!!!!!!!!
But those were just little things.
So here she was, Friday night showering & for once since moving in, she noticed a light on across the street at her neighbors house. Weird. It was almost midnight. Who was up this late anyway?
