McCafferty Covered Bridge by Tim

Crossing the East Fork of the Little Miami River, the McCafferty Covered Bridge is located in the community of Vera Cruz in Brown County, Ohio. Built in 1877, it is 170 feet long. I've photographed it on a number of occasions, and this more distant shot is from my most recent visit to Ohio. Ivy covered silo, Fremont, OH by Equinox27

This wonderful silo sits by the side of the road (US 6) west of Fremont, Ohio. Whoever built this farm had a very classy sense of style. Besides a silo that looks like a small castle, there is a concrete arbor with Ionic capitals and an incredible Queen Ann house with a tower that is almost completely obscured by spruce trees. I can't help it, I always stop when passing by and get another photo. This wouldn't pass muster as documentation, I'm afraid. I didn't like the houses & junk along the horizon so I got rid of them as well as the power lines. It was just too pretty for all that reality. Trees are ok!
