Jackson grew up surrounded by family in Center Hill and is never ashamed to call himself a family man. With the Jones' you expect them to be together at most times, and always having one another's backs. JJ has always been a loud and troublesome Jones apparently just like is father was when he was younger. At school and even now as an adult, JJ is known to get into a few fights.
A lot of Jackson's memories of his childhood were spent at the autobody shop his father owned. He learned all the tricks of the trade as he got older and still works as a mechanic at the shop to this day. His specialty is motorbikes but he's talented enough to be trusted with trucks and cars too.
After the loss of Ava Jones when Jackson was twelve, he began taking his role as big brother a lot more seriously. He prides himself on being the silly older brother but also the brother any of them can call if there's ever any trouble. Whether it's 2pm or 2am, Jackson will go to war on behalf of his siblings.
Seeing their father not only grieve his wife but step up to give them a wonderful childhood in her absence, JJ is always hoping he can be half the man that Ethan Jones is. It's even more important since he became a father to twin boys two years ago. Jax and Caleb gave JJ a new goal in life and urged him to try and settle down with their mother Cricket Reid.
Cricket and JJ have always had a loving relationship, but it's mainly Jackson's mess ups that cause the problems. His involvement with The Reapers doesn't help and JJ is aware it was the last thing Cricket and his father wanted him to do. Still, JJ worked hard to get Cricket and his boys their own house just a stones throw away from the rest of his family.
JJ knows that being a part of The Reapers could be his downfall but he is still loyal to the gang and enjoys the brotherhood it provides. He's a reliable name for them and is ready to fight whenever it's needed.
The Jones family has been running a successful horse and cattle ranch in Texas for generations. Known for their exceptional skills in training horses, the Jones’ specialized not only in breeding high-quality cattle but also in training horses for races, rodeos, and even movie stunts. Their reputation for producing top-notch stunt horses grew over the years, attracting attention from Hollywood filmmakers who occasionally visited Texas to scout talent for Western films.
Jackson was raised to know the importance of family, and he adored his life on the family ranch. He was only young when his mother died, but JJ tries to take inspiration from his father any way he can. He listens closely whenever Ethan retells memories of Ava, and of course, from the moment he became an older brother to Tammie and Nora, took it upon himself to watch out for them.
JJ has always had a bit of a wild streak and his impulsive nature often gets the better of him. Because of this, he loved the area of his family's work that allowed him to coordinate stunts and train horses for movies.
When the Jones' made the decision to sell a portion of their ranch in order to purchase a new one and move to California, Jackson wasn't quite convinced it was a good idea. He was reluctant to leave Texas behind, and still doesn't really love the new place he calls home. But, he will do anything for family and go anywhere his father and sisters go.
Since living in California, JJ has also began working in stunts himself and he genuinely loves it. While working on a movie, he met actress Chrissy Collins. The two have been dating steadily since but JJ isn't convinced he's suited to inhabit the world she does.
Unaware that his family is being gradually pulled into an insidious side of Hollywood, Jackson remains ignorant to the requests being made by Quinlan and is often dutifully carrying out tasks for the Kings without even realizing it. But, JJ is also his father's son and suspicions are starting to creep in, even if he has no proof. The giveaway is how tense his father seems recently, because when the laid back Ethan Jones worries, it's usually for a good reason.
Born into the Jones family in New York City, Jackson only has vague memories of his mother Ava before she passed away after the birth of his two younger sisters. All JJ remembers is that a sense of responsibility found him that day, and he would do anything to ensure Tammie and Nora are okay. Although, his ways of doing this is usually annoying them but JJ believes all the roughhousing and sneak attacks are what made Tammie and Nora who they are today. When he's not annoying his sisters, JJ is being annoyed by his younger brother Elijah and sometimes it's as if none of them grew up at all.
The Jones wolves had worked with The Syndicate for generations and JJ ended up falling into the same path in his early twenties, he was a general member for some years but after a heart to heart with his father, could see the worry that Ethan experienced with all of his children working in The Syndicate. JJ then became a mechanic instead despite not finding it exciting and somewhat missing a place for him to exert his energetic and impulsive ways.
At the beginning of the war, JJ managed to escape with his father and siblings but the Jones wolves have been separated from Hazel, Bodie and Everett since February 2023. JJ has remained with the group and done everything he can to help finding missing members and is often working closely with the Crosses to help them.
Oh yeah, JJ and Sophia Cross had twin boys in 2021, Jax and Jesse. Surpriseeeee
