Sound: Jim Norton Producer's Notes: When I was introduced to the World/Inferno some years back, much about them was shrouded in mystery. They were not a band, but a cult. Their shows were not shows, they were rituals. Their music was not typical of any genre, but the spirit of punk rock was apparent more than any other band I had ever seen before. Most everything about them us unpredictable and utterly unique and they quickly became on of my favorite bands. And World/Inferno. Ever since I was probably 16 I've gone to almost every show they've played in NY. I suggest going to one because if you've never been, man, you're missing out on one of the most chaotic, love-filled, debaucherous nights of your life. If you've never waltzed, you're going to at their show. Most likely with a stranger. Jack is an amazing storyteller too, and he often goes off on anecdotes from his life before, during and after their set. It's amazing. Ahh, love.
