Me and moirail were talking about DragonCon and got into our Jack and Wanda cosplay for a moment We didn't have a group because obscure but we still had fun and we got to do a lot of things that hadn't been done for the fandom before moirail: "Jack and Wanda go to Starbucks" moirail: "like a jack and wanda twitter account or something" moirail: "twitter 'getting our latte on' " moirail: "and then wanda: 'my brother wrote this' " moirail: " 'he thinks he's cool' " moirail: " 'he's not' "
I just realized that I have unconsciously had a headcanon about Jack for a long time that he talks smack but when he gets approached too closely by a pretty girl and/or is flirted with physically he can’t handle it and kind of shuts down
He goes all blushy and flustered and drops his suave
He also can’t handle verbal flirts that turn directly sexual
Thus the headcanon that Wanda can fluster him with a few words and a well-placed lean

Since we found out Jack had been decrypted (or maybe just me... I spotted him in that one darkened panel) I kind of started to ship them. We've seen Jack teasing Wanda before, and Wanda kind of bantering back. How would his attitude change, having been Decrypted?
Romantic: My hopeful little headcanon or ficlet idea was that the teasing would change to a kind of flirting, with Jack playing the part of a subservient Decrypted to his Mistress. (Note I say "playing"; he'd treat it as a kind of role, playfully.) This opened up chances for Wanda to do something like "ordering" him to prove his loyalty to her and having Jack kiss her and other semi-flirt things, which would be treated by both of them as a kind of game. They might not even take it too seriously, considering the escalating flirts to be like daring one another.
Platonic: Since the actual Jack Decrypted epilogue came out, though, I also developed BROTP ideas to go along with the others. He does call her "Sister" in that one, after all. What if he's actually kind of protective of her now? That would open up opportunities for being jealous and helpful and other general kinds of platonic adorableness.
Anecdote: When me and moirail cosplayed the two, we occassionally played whatever we were doing as JackWanda shipping, both pale and red. (whoops, homestuck vocabulary: platonic and romantic.) For example, I combed out the various knots in moirail's Wanda hair and we were both giggling about it a bit. Another thing that happened was me giving her my Jack coat because she was cold. I alternately called her "Sister" or "Mistress". It was fun.
Discussion with my dad brought up the topic of my JackWanda shipping. Think I’ll make a post on it when I get back to my computer. Because omg I have a lot of headcanons for those two ranging from a cute BROTP to a distinctive kind of teasing flirting
