We boast of our successes because they are God’s grace given to us. We could not have done anything without Him. But I would not blame your sorrows b/c of your atheism either. Both good and bad things happen to nonchristians and christians alike.

hallelujah. Thank you, boris.
Jacqueline, I understand that you really think your successes are because of god, but I get slightly peeved because there is no way to say that it happened only because god was there - since god being there is not factually proven, who is to say that you wouldn't have succeeded even if god were not there? To summarize, I'm saying that god's existence/greatness has no direct correlation to your ability to accomplish something since you cannot prove that without god, the result would have been different. I would much prefer christians to say "I succeeded maybe because i had faith" or "I probably succeeded because I believed in God".
There are 2 things that are much better with those sentences. 1: It does not arbitrarily shove postulate God's existence since it only talks about BELIEF in god, and not "God's grace" or something that assumes god exists. 2: It does not make God the sole and only possible reason for whatever one accomplishes, since it has "maybe" or "probably" to indicate another possibility.
Whew, that was long, I feel like an atheist blog nowo_O Oh yeah, kelly, glad you enjoy this stuff^_^
