i reread rapport and it was kind of lost on me until the second go-around that art absolutely does have a huge dork bot crush on secunit. i kind of have my doubts that we’ll actually explore any kind of *relationship* between art and secunit because of uhhhh secunit but one of my favorite things that i’m seeing explored a lot in fic is how the two of them can redefine what a *relationship* is and means between the two of them because they’re not human and don’t need to define things with humans’ terms for things. and that means SO MUCH TO ME. and that’s not even to mention the fact that this takes place in a universe where not only *relationships* but gender and self-expression is so diverse that no one would even think twice about however the two of them decided (or not) to define their *relationship* beyond being happy and excited for both of them for having found it
