Artist Jacob Tonski Explores Balance from Within

"Balance comes from within. It’s a delicate act, and sometimes we fall down," says Miami University media studies professor Jacob Tonski. Tonski has taken a centuries old sofa which uses an internal robotic mechanism to balance on one leg to create commentary on the nature of human relations, and the systems we build to support them.
