Finished a summer outfit for Jake. I’ve been going feral thinking about how this man who hates showing skin would dress for the hot months. Ultimately decided that his superpower made weather temperature avoidable, so he can wear as many layers as he wants.

My latest attempt at pixel art!

This time I used @dreamtydraw ‘s art that I got commissioned as a base. It definitely helped with my proportions and I like it a lot more than my previous attempt. Jake’s so cute!

I’ve already started on Marcus, and he’s getting a new wardrobe. The slut shirt might be iconic but it must be cold in winter. I wanted to change up the wardrobe for Jake, too, but my boy doesn’t really change his fit all that much. I might take another stab at summer wear, but the long sleeves stay.

Jake likes to cover as much skin as possible, so all of his outfits are made of linens and cottons as to be breathable. He likes XL sweaters and trades with Mark a lot. Jake’s hair is the worst and my biggest deterrent to drawing him.

I regret making his pjs patterned, so you won’t catch me doing that again. It was a pain to draw and came out busy anyway. The original draft was not only easier, but better looking in my opinion.

Jacob is a ghost for Halloween! He’s got two variations: the Victorian and the sheet. He wasn’t too keen on the idea of being a ghost, but everyone thought it would be fun to incorporate his floating into the design.

I had a lot of trouble not just with the old app, but also with Jake’s billowing shirt. I finally found a good reference and had to trust the process.

I’ve been moving everything off of my old drawing app and putting it in Procreate to finish. Thought I’ld save myself the trouble of trying to fix Jake’s Halloween costume on an app that hates me.

I’ve nearly got it to the place I had it before (I’ve been redrawing it with the original as a reference, so that I could make use of the layers) and I’m not nearly as close to ripping my hair out as I was on the old app.

Finally shelled out to get Procreate. I just couldn’t take the app constantly crashing on me. I’ll see about moving my projects over, but for now I’m already playing with the buttons. Having layers is actually godtier.

I’m still not finished with Jake’s Halloween costume, so that’ll probably be the last art project I actually try to complete on the old app. Wish my sanity luck.

Started the second Halloween costume! It’s Jacob! He’s been requested by Marcus to be a ghost. Abi made some valuable suggestions to the design.

Jacob is one of the characters that @evulbad drew that I have some small complaints about. Nothing really major, I’m just particularly picky about Jake as he’s the one I feel is closest to my heart.

Ignoring my inconsequential critiques, the emotion is perfect. The eyes, the EYES!
