"You used to dream about me every night." Jacobi said quietly, pulling his knees up to his chest. The sheets on Keplers bed shifted. "Why'd you even tell me that?"

"Because you asked if I still cared."

"Well? That doesn't answer my question. I have dreams about hamsters on the moon. You're gonna need more evidence than that, Warren."

"Daniel, can you stop being so overdramatic please?"

"No!" Jacobi shouts. "I miss when you cared- when you gave a damn about me! I- do you know why I wanted to come over today!? Do you want to know?"

"I- what?"

"Because I haven't been able to sleep for a week since our mission, and you hadn't answered any of my texts, and I started thinking about doing some very, very, very bad things to myself and others. I came here because I needed you to care and you don't even do that for me!"

"If you want a pity party then go to Maxwell."

"I shouldn't have to! You're my boyfriend! I shouldn't have to go to Maxwell for comfort!"

"Well you do! I care but I'm not going to sit here and listen to you sob like a baby." Kepler scoffs. "I thought you were better than this, Jacobi. Stronger than this. Be what Goddard made you, stop whatever this pathetic-"

"Be what Goddard made me? Of course! Coming from the man who's nothing but a corporate shell, right!? I'll be what Goddard made me when you learn how to be a person! Sometimes I question if you even have emotions anymore!"

"I just know how to keep them under control, unlike you."

Jacobi stands up and starts walking towards the door.

"I don't know why I bothered to come over. You're such a peice of shit, just leave me alone."

"Gladly."

"Maybe I'm over emotional, but at least I have emotions. You lost all of yours while trying to get your family to love you, and then you lost the rest of your sanity trying to get Marcus Cutter to love you. Notice how neither of those things will ever happen?"
