for the anon worried about ap calc: do the online tests!!! this was the worst year of math for me and i thought i was going to fail for sure, but i actually got a 4 and im very happy with it!! especially do the FRQs online bc they USUALLY follow a pattern (this year, they didnt unfortunately). keep a formula sheet for urself to update every time u learn a new equation. also learn ur calculator VERY well. learn to do math w/o that calculator. stop using ur scientific calc. idk it's just practice!

Hey I took apush this year as a freshman and with the next exam. I don't know if you need it but I thought some tips would make your journey easier!! -get the crash course early -when studying, make references to other periods in history so you'll always remember and that's something you need to do in the DBQ portion -learn the format of the essay early, my teacher did this and it made life so much easier!!! -watch crash course videos only on things you're confused on or have extra time.. (1)

(2)because they're way too long if you're studying the night before any test or the exam itself. -work on analyzing documents because a lot of it is big words and stuff that's hard to understand sometimes -use documents given online because sometimes they're on tests/the actual exam -don't avoid reading stuff no matter how bored you may be, chances are it will show up on a test or the exam itself -study periods 1-9, you never know what's on the exam (CB didn't rly give good advice) good luck! I took apush in the 2014/2015 school year with a brand new test and no resources. The AMSCO Advanced Placement United States History book became a replacement text book for me and contained more than enough info. Also, the info released by college board was false. Study all periods including one and nine!! Good luck!

If you're planning on pre-med when you get to college, I would strongly recommend starting physics in high school. AP Physics 1 is a pretty good beginner course, although APP2 is a little better and doesn't need APP1 as a prerequisite, tbh.

(physics anon) Also, credit for AP Chem will get you out of gen ed chem classes in a LOT of colleges, plus what you learn in there will reinforce some bio and a few more phys concepts! If your school offers it, you should definitely consider it!

hey girl!! i'm a rising senior, so i'm just finishing up my junior year. my biggest suggestion is to take your standardized tests EARLY!!! i took my first one in march and i wish i had taken it earlier. also, start figuring out what you want to do/where you want to go now. start developing relationships with your admissions officers, visit campuses, and really think about your resume, extracurriculars, ect, so come next fall it's much less stressful. hope this helped! :)

tbh jr year was the hardest for me. if you wanna prepare ur college resume, i would start doing community service hrs during the summer if you can to build them up because it looks really good and u wont have to stress as much next yr abt them. also if u plan on joining clubs, focus on making a big impact in one or two clubs ur interested in instead of joining a lot and having little impact. this helps colleges see how involved u r and it could help distinguish u from other college applicants.

hey sareena! i am finishing my junior year and some advice i would give is to be rlly organized and on top of your work bc catching up is very difficult and will stress you out 24/7 until you turn everything in. also make clean & colorful notes so you can study for finals/ap tests w/o having to go thru everything again and so you don't have to decipher messy handwriting. most importantly remember to enjoy learning, take time for your extracurriculars and yourself, and have a lot of fun!!
