[ 🖐️ ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat do their hands feel like: soft, calloused, trembling ?

Jae puts in a lot of effort to take care of himself. He's not necessarily vain, but he does take pride in his appearance. So his hands are soft, his fingers are manicured. He won't hesitate to get his hands dirty, but he does like to polish them up afterwards.

Probably not the "safest" but he does feel alarmingly safe around Natani. He probably felt the safest back when he was still mortal, living a relatively normal life with his parents and siblings.

[ 🎱 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat kind of future do they crave, and who’s in it ?

Jae likes to wander and see the world. Settling down has never been in the cards for him. But he likes having somewhere to return to, someone to come back to, even if that somewhere is a lake full of bones and that someone considers itself more of a something. He's very committed to Natani at this point, in ways he never would have expected.

Percy and Jae were both members of Max’s crew at various points in time.

Percy during one of his past lives, human as always. He forged a lot of documents for Max when she needed and worked as their cook as needed.

Jae served essentially as master-at-arms for the magical portions of the crew. He and Fred were very close.

When Jae was about 250 years old, he was absolutely betrayed by his then-lover. She was a witch herself and a lot can be done with the blood of an immortal. She was seeking immortality for herself and thought he would be the key to it. She did quite a bit of damage to him before he escaped. If she had been less ambitious or less cruel, he might have let her live, but he knew she’d come after him again. She was his first kill. It wasn’t an easy choice, but he didn’t regret it once it was done.

Jae very much doesn’t like making long term deals for his magic. He’s much more of a payment up front type of person and likes to be able to leave a place without any loose ends. There are exceptions, of course, but they’re few and far between.

Parker and Jae were friends, for a time, when Parker was still working at his grandma’s bakery. The luck bracelet Parker wears was a gift from Jae, before he headed out of town, moving onto his next adventure.
