JAE FLOW:
Whether he’s a friend or foe, you can’t help but to give Jae Flow your utmost respect.
Like the movie Avengers: Endgame he’s about that action — daring the Garden snakes in the Garden State (Magic) to come at him (I wouldn’t though. He just might shoot the messenger too!)
Still, he doesn’t carry a poker face all the time.
Though his husky tone would make you assume so — it just naturally demands attention.
In fact Jae’s wittiness is the forefront of his skillful entendres & similes. “Push his hairline back with every track I attack!” (Players Circle) & “Pull up on shawty like what is your math? We both single add it up like you cash.” (Heaven With You).
To speak further about his style, it focuses on the truth. In this age of time, it’s hard to trust. To love. Sometimes disloyalty can even make a good thing go bad — but Jae Flow is livin’ & learning.
Simply put, it’s his time! He’s feelin’ like 50 Cent on his grind in 99’ (Hilton Room #369)
A Peruvian-American rapper, producer, & engineer — Jae Flow ran sh*t like he should even in the 6th grade! “Since that time I wanted to be a rapper because of 50 Cent. He was the biggest influencer in my life.” says Flow “One time I was in detention & this local rapper I was cool with knew I wanted to rap. He texted me "I'm in the studio. Pull up. It's now or never" I had about 20 mins left. I asked to go the bathroom and left to go the studio lol.” In his opinion, the biggest strength in music he possesses is saying a lot with few words. His voice also plays a part. “Sometimes I write my lyrics backwards! I’ll write down the bar/point I want to make then I write lyrics to lead up to that bar/point.”
He’s from Dover, New Jersey — a unified town that never hinders someone to follow their dreams. According to Jae Flow its citizens are willing to always help and push others to reach for the stars.
Having in mind every morning that he’s one song away from changing his & his familia’s life forever, Jae’s verses mostly derive from his past. “I have a bunch of memories, stories and emotions that come from a time before social media. So I feel like now, through music, is my way to cement and record these events of my life forever.” Flow adds “I'm just noticing now, that I'm drawing a lot of inspiration from the women I've gotten to know, whether platonically or romantically, in the past year or two.”
He never thought his music would reach people the way it has but he’s very appreciative. He’s garnered support & still is to this day.
Likewise Jae Flow’s message is that he’s just like you. In his words: We all go through similar human experiences. “My first mixtape ("Fuck ICE" Aug 2018) & a lot of the music I have out now has been story telling or speaking on past events and experiences. Now that I got that out the way, I've been trying to get more personal on a more relatable level because I feel like that type of music is timeless.”
Speaking of “FUCK ICE”, Jae Flow recalls Black Truck & The Reup being the most fun to make. “The beats for those songs were so fire that the lyrics just spilled out and were effortless. The quality just speaks volume.”
Alone he can ignite a fire. But let’s cross our fingers for a collab with Retch, Solis & ItzWonderfull in the future. It’s a given that it’ll burn a n*gga to the third degree. #MuyFuego
At gunpoint, Jae Flow has the competition sweating bullets.
With the mask on, gloves on (Black Truck) — The come-up is very real!
