hi :) just wanted to say I am absolutely enamored with the way you give ~slow sex~ a spotlight in so many of your works. The way you write it is breathtaking in so many ways. I love that you really slow things down and go tiny moment by moment with the love making. Real sex is often a lot more imperfectly unrushed than many media depictions of it, and you make it all feel so natural and genuine to me. It really is healing to read about a man taking his time to feel and touch and sense and appreciate and love. Ugh.
hiya hiya :) thank you so, so much for this message. i feel like slow sex gets overlooked way too often, especially in fanfic. and i get it! there’s a time and place for rough, messy, chaotic stuff (and i enjoy writing that too). but there’s something so sacred about taking your time especially in the little moments.
i really do believe there’s a kind of …storytelling?? (idk if that’s the word i’m looking for) in slowness. it’s where the truth lives. it’s in the way someone hesitates before they touch you like they mean it. the way they look at you when you’re not speaking. the way it’s not always perfect, but it’s full of intention. And you said it perfectly, it’s not polished or performative, it’s genuine. and when you write or read it right, it really does feel like joining souls.
