"Are you sure the compass is working?" Sousuke hadn't asked anything about their equipment since they left for the trip and that was just to ask if they had it all. Right then, however, he'd been walking around outside in the wilderness for hours and still hadn't found the campsite. The young man was relatively annoyed that they hadn't come across it yet.
He looked around the area, seeing that the place was just as gorgeous as the photographs, but being lost in it was not as beautiful. Sousuke had been trying to enjoy his time with Rin while he still could, but the continued calls and mail from his ex was making that difficult. Instead, he just burned whatever he got and went on with the day the best that he could manage.
Right then? Well, he was trying to combat a wasp out of his personal space. At least he thought it was a wasp, it could have been something else but he wasn't taking that chance. "Goddamn nature needs to get out of my face for two fucking minutes."
Sousuke frowned and finally sat down, taking a small drink from the water bottle he had. "Rin. I'm pretty sure we're lost."
Going to Australia was something Sousuke never thought would happen. Okay, no, scratch that. He'd thought about it when he was a kid and got letters from Rin but when the letters stopped, so did whatever delusion he had about spending time with his friend on the beach.
But somehow here they were. Their flight from Japan to Australia had just landed and although Sousuke was exhausted from traveling, he was too nervous and excited to actually sleep.
He was in Australia! With Rin! And he was going to meet the family that took him in there and he was going to go see the pool where he'd trained, he was going to swim in the ocean and eat at Rin's favorite places. This would certainly bring them closer together as friends, if anything.
"Where to now? Where are we staying?"
