What does the word treason mean to you?
T-treason? That’s a heavy question, friend. I think it’s when you betray your country in a way that’s er… really dangerous, right?
Sorry, I’m, uh, not very practiced with these political terms, hehe.
Bailing out a git
Malon would have been glad to return to the castle. She missed working and having something to do along with being worried of the corral’s state since her unexpected leave. Rolling up her sleeves and getting everything back in order was something she was looking forward to.
Unfortunately, her first trip back to the castle had less to do with work and more to do with a daft second-arrest-in-the-last-month, defiant git. The guard that led her down the halls of the less populated jail cells didn’t speak to her, but he did occasionally shoot glances at the red-headed demon of fury that walked behind him. At one point she caught him staring and shot him a look so harsh that he tripped over an invisible stick and muttered to himself beneath his helm as he fiddled with the keys.
“Here,” he said in a gruff tone as he yanked the door to the cell open. Malon pushed past him vehemently and stomped into the cell with a growl.
“Link!”
