So Mangastream seems to be gone (forever this time) and Jaimini’s Box has stopped translating Weekly Shounen Jump series (One Piece, My Hero Academia, Black Clover, Dr. Stone, We Never Learn, the Promised Neverland, etc) but will still translate their Korean webcomics and manga from other magazines.
I’ve been using Mangastream back when I was reading Naruto, back when he was fighting the Nine-Tails and met Kushina which (I had to this up by the way) was back in June 2010. Since then, I’ve been reading One Piece on their site and, recently, Black Clover, Hero Academia and the Promised Neverland. Mangastream has (sort of) consistantly been in in my life for 9 years now, so I do feel down having to say goodbye to it, what I think is for good this time.
Jaimini’s Box I found through Kaguya-sama, which they are still translating thankfully as well as Fire Force which I also read. I’ve also used it to read We Never Learn, One Piece, Black Clover, Hero Academia and the Promised Neverland. Unfortunately for me, I was also in the middle of reading Dr. Stone when they took it off and was not caught up to it before Jaimini’s Box took it down. I was also reading Dr. Stone reboot: Byakuya (I was far along that I knew about spoilers regarding Byakuya so I thought it was fine).
I felt a bit down that I lost my source of One Piece, Black Clover, Hero Academia, We Never Learn, the Promised Neverland and Dr. Stone reboot: Byakuya (especially as We Never Learn and the Promised Neverland are close to ending and Dr. Stone reboot: Byakuya is on it’s last chapter) but I downloaded the Mangaplus app which has the latest 3 chapters of each series for free so it’s fine for all of the series I’m caught up on. Plus, they have Kimetsu no Yaiba, which is major bonus for me. Hopefully they’ll be able show double-page spreads soon.
