Do you have any top 10 headcanons for Jak and Keira as well as Tess and Daxter?
Omg an ask! This is so exciting! I have compiled some headcanons here. I had to sort out my thoughts so it took a little while. I only have 5 for Daxter and Tess unfortunately but here they all are. I hope you enjoy!
Back in Sandover Jak would sit and watch Kiera work on her inventions for hours. He loved watching her work, simply fascinated by how she can build all these amazing things out of scraps.
Likewise, Kiera loved watching Jak train his fighting and acrobatic skills. Going out to Geyser Rock and watching him fight the training dummies and climb the rocks was one of her favourite pass times.
When Keira met Jak again in Haven City she truly struggled to equate the boy she knew with the hardened criminal in front of her. Despite her struggles though, at heart, she knew that changed or not Jak was still Jak. He still loved adventure, racing, and showing off in any way he could.
Though Jak is admittedly attracted to Ashelin he still thinks Keira is the girl for him, she always has been and always will be.
Keira, like Torn, was very upset to find out Jak and Ashelin shared a kiss. Sure, she and Jak hadn’t technically been in a relationship at the time but it still hurt, especially since they had been working on getting their friendship back to the way it used to be. (Keira and Torn bonded over the experience).
Jak refused to sleep around Keira for a long time, worried that he would wake up from one of his nightmares in his dark form and hurt her by accident.
Keira felt a kind of vindictive joy when she finally got to kiss Jak without Daxter butting in. Jak felt it too.
Jak loves playing with Keira’s hair. Whenever they’re sitting next to each other and he feels comfortable he’ll have a hand in her hair.
One time Jak wanted to show off his light powers so he decided to pick Keira up and fly around with her in his arms. He got startled by someone making a sharp turn on a zoomer and he accidentally dropped her into the port. Keira thought it was hilarious but Jak felt terrible about it for ages.
Jak never tells Keira what exactly happened to him in the prison. She knows the gist of it, knows he was experimented on, but he never tells her the details. She never pushes him about it either, not wanting him to relive the worse years of his life.
As adventurous dates, Daxter takes Tess to parts of the city you can only really get to as an ottsel. He found some pretty cool spots in the two years he was looking for Jak.
Tess fell in love with Daxter’s storytelling skills early on. She knows all of his stories are… heavily exaggerated, but she doesn’t care and just plays along to make him happy.
Daxter wanted Tess to have her countryside cottage but knew it would be too dangerous outside the city walls. As a compromise, Daxter convinced Ashelin to take back Dead Town from the metalheads. Once it was safe there again he used some money from artifacts he and Jak scavenged in the wasteland to have an ottsel sized hut built overlooking the water, complete with a white picket fence.
They love working nights together at the Naughty Ottsel, just the two of them running the bar, it’s so mundane that after all the war they had seen it was nice to do something so normal.
Seeing how happy Daxter was to finally get a pair of pants, Tess finds a tailor in Haven who will make ottsel sized clothing so Daxter can always have clothes.
