Jak didn't lose his Dark Giant power whilst out in the wasteland. He just wanted to limit his use of dark eco, due to all the trouble it had brought on his head, over the years.

So as the days out in the desert turned into weeks, and those weeks turned into months, Daxter had almost forgotten that one trip to the oracle in the Water Slums.

That was until, after a stifling day racing around trying to keep the wasteland metalheads at bay, Kleiver took the opportunity to amuse himself at the lesser height of Damas's favourite warrior.

As the ottsel looked over the top of the massive city gates surrounding the city, from his shoulder perch, he mused at how quickly an ashen faced, desert mechanic could run, when he needed to.

May put this silliness into a drawing, if I get the time.
