Keadra: A Trip to Blackrock
Keadra studies the Thunderlord home with her mismatched eyes. Half wishing she had waited for the sun to come out before heading out. She glances at the paint on her skin, making sure it was holding up, she had been a bit distracted by the person helping her put it on. She nods and adjusts her armor before putting on her eye patch, wishing these idiots knew how to dress for the cold and heading over. One of two things was going to happen. She was either going to weasel her way into being a courier, hopefully by using the fact that they were missing some higher ups from her previous job, or she was going to think of something else. A man next to an empty cart attached to a boar drunkenly nods at her as she approaches, “You letting me off? It's cold and you were supposed to head off an hour ago.” Keadra fights the urge to look confused and nods, deepening her voice, “Had to handle some dogs.” The man smiles and stumbles to her, slapping her hard on the shoulder with approval. Keadra grinds her teeth as he walks off, fighting the urge to rub her skin with snow. She slowly looks to the boar, half admiring its armor. Well, that works.
The job Sla'shen had given her wasn't too far off from the one she had finished a few days before. Technically, it was simpler. Less time pretending to be one of them and more focus on taking out targets. She vaguely recalled him telling her to stop in before heading to Blackrock to keep them from trying to kill her on the way in, but she was already painted and was pretty sure she knew a few routes they didn't. She half entertained the thought of drawing a map up to sell, but tossed it aside as the foundry came into view. The boar slows to a steady trot as she pulls on its reins. The sun would be up soon and she wanted to look like it had been a long trip. Keadra inhales slowly as the first few Orcs come into view to steady herself. A few give her a nod and one checks out her ass as she passes. She struggles to not blush as some of Zal's commentary on her legs and rear pass through her mind. A guard fortunately distracts her from the urge as he grabs the side of her cart, eying the fur and meat filled cart that Keadra had casually poisoned the bottom layers off, assuming they would eat a few off the top when she arrived. “Supposed to update someone about Frostridge and trade out supplies. We need your metals.” She stares calmly at the guard, looking at him as if she was telling him things he was supposed to know. “Right... We'll put a new cart on your boar. It's late, so you'll have to gather your own things. Don't take anything people tell you not to.” Keadra hops off the boar with a grunt, “I'm a Thunderlord, not an idiot.” The foundry was huge. Keadra half wished she was assigned to stay there for a few days, she could get lost and have fun climbing walls while claiming it was practice. The pain in her left leg reminded her that wasn't currently an option as she forced herself to walk normally. She trails her brown eye over the different uniforms. Searching for key details and watching how people interacted. As she wandered her way to a store room for metals. She dug up a crate and started filling it as someone walked up behind her. “Thunderlord know how to dress their women for the cold,” The woman mused. Keadra looked over her shoulder and grinned, “Makes us stronger against the elements. Frostfire isn't forgiving.” “Neither is Gorgrond.” The woman stated flatly. Keadra sized her up, making mental adjustments to the woman's armor while deciding if she could pull off wearing it. “You don't live in the jungle, you live in the lifeless part.” She goes out of her way to wink, “Then again, Frostfire is lifeless too, so maybe we have more in common than I thought.” The woman sets her hand on Keadra's back, trailing it along her exposed skin, “Maybe we do... You here for long? I'd like to see how you manage to keep that armor on.” Keadra struggled with her normal instincts and kept calmly putting ore in the box, “Supposed to head back when I'm done.” She mentally shudders and looks up at the woman with a sweet smile, “Be a shame if something slowed me down, but I think they'd understand. There's a war after all.” The woman grins and grabs Keadra by the bones acting as shoulder guards, lifting her to her feet and dragging her off to a side area. The lighting was poor and it looked rarely used if not completely forgotten. She lunges for the taller woman as if going to kiss her while slipping a needle out of her glove. Her lips lock on the woman's as she needle sneaks through a gap in her armor and finds her heard, Keadra holding the kiss as the woman tried to yelp in pain and confusion. The guard's body spasmed before it slumped to the ground as Keadra wipes her mouth with distaste. She tries to ignore the urge to rub her skin off as she strips the woman, setting her armor to the side and putting it on. The armor was heavier, but it fit well and she could hide her limp easier in the odd movements that come with heavier gear. Keadra grunted at guards as she wandered around, heading into any rooms with interesting labels and copying any plans and schematics she found there. She nearly collides with someone twice her height and in enough armor to cover a Elekk as she leaves a room. The man raises a brow at her, “What were you doing in there?” “Looking for someone higher up. It's late and I don't want to get my skull caved for waking someone up.” The man nods, “What do you need grunt?” “A Thunderlord arrived a little while ago. Something's off about her.” The Orc looks down the hallway, “What makes you say that?” “She talks too good to be a Thunderlord. Muscles seem off too. They have big arms, hers is all in her legs.” The man nods and claps her on the shoulder, “Let's go check in on our guest.” Keadra smiles internally as she leads him down the hall, casually readying a needle as she re-enters the store room. The man closes the door and cracks his knuckles in anticipation for a murder, Keadra stabs him in the neck to ensure it was his. She twists her needle quickly to paralyze him as the poison kicks in, killing him quickly. She wastes no time stripping most of his armor and dragging him to the darkened area. She picks up his axe and cleanly cuts his head off gathering the other woman's as well. Keadra goes back to her crate while cleaning her hands off, dropping her rag in it and carrying it over to the heads. After a bit of work, she fits both heads in the box, covering them with ore to hide them. Keadra would leave with six crates, a few sets of armor, and a decent supply of weapons.
