Tropes VS Woman

This video is about how woman are always portrayed as the damsel in distress and are always waiting for the man to come save them. Video games that we continually play do this along with movies. Popeye is one of my favorite movies/ TV show. Popeye is always seen saving the woman from the burly man and that is always the plot. Woman are angry because it is showing them as helpless and needing help to survive. So little girls playing this will get the idea that they can not survive without a man. I do not agree with what video games portray.

The Nib

This comic was about how race can effect how the audience interprets the art. The author had a hard time with skin tones because he was afraid it would become racist in some way. At the end of the comic the author states he still has yet to have a black editor. This just means he hasn't had the chance to know how a colored person would react to his comics before they are published.
