Your bed was cold without him, and seemed all the frostier when only his voice was with you, for he was on the other side of the country to publicize his newest film. He was in a later time zone than you were, and you could hear the sleepiness in his voice.

“So what are you wearing?” He asked, chuckling at himself. You smiled, sticking your tongue out between your teeth. He was just so goddamn cute.

“Would you be happy if I said nothing?” You questioned.

You heard him inhale sharply. “Yes and no. I wish I was home with you.”

“What would you do to me if you were?”

“Baby, you have no idea.”

Hey there, so this is just some random short imagine I wrote at 2 am. This idea popped into my head and I needed to put it into words so here it is, and i am sorry for how cliche this might be.

Imagine knowing Jake and him being older than you. He always protects you. He starts to develop some bigger feelings for you. You too had a crush on him but you let it go due to the age difference. But now he is even more overprotective and jealous of your friends (who are your age). 

“What are you doing?!” Jake grabbed your arm and pulled you out of the small crowd you were standing in. Anger filling up his mind.

“Jake? What the hell are you doing here? I am just out with my friends” you answered a bit startled. 

“I’m taking you home. You...you can’t just go out with THEM!”

“Stop it!” you raised your voice but didn’t scream as you didn’t want to catch anybody's attention. “What do you mean by THEM? And who are you to tell me what to do? I am an adult!”

“But...you just can’t fool around with random men!”

“Oh my God are you jealous or what? Jake, he is not random. That’s my boyfriend.” You looked over your shoulder in the direction where a small group of people was standing. 

“What? He..he can’t...Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Can we talk about it later? I really need to go.” You turned to leave when you felt Jake’s hand on your shoulder. 

“I am sorry but I can’t let you do that.”

“What the hell are you doing?”

“Just look at him...he is not even your type.”

“EXCUSE ME? Not my type? Jake, just let me go.”

“He is not good enough for you. You deserve better.” Jake was whispering. His face near yours, his hand holding onto your shoulder.”Just let me take you home”

“Why do you care?” you looked up at him.

“I just don’t want you to meet with all these people...I am just afraid that they’ll take you away from me.”

“You can't just show up out of nowhere after ignoring me for two weeks straight and tell me what to do and what is good for me. Listen. It's the best if you just worry about your own life, not mine.” You slipped away from his grip and walked away towards your friends. 

“But you are my whole life.” Jake mumbled quietly, but you were already gone.

Imagine making out with Jake Gyllenhaal.

You had told Jake that you wanted to take things slowly. You had been hurt by men before who seemed to only want to bed you then leave you feeling vulnerable and worthless. You didn’t think that Jake was that kind of person, he had treated you with a lot of respect and affection - and had even introduced you to his sister, which was something that rarely happened with your exes. But you were still on your guard after so many bad experiences.

For your one month anniversary together, you were feeling ready to take things to the next step. Not all the way, for you still felt exposed when you climbed into bed with him only wearing your underwear and a large t-shirt, but further than the sweet kisses and hand holding that you two have been up to so far.

When he came over on a Saturday night with his overnight bag, you made the first move. When the two of you got comfortable on the couch with Netflix trailers playing in the background. You leaned in and started off with the hello kiss that he had gotten used to, but when it didn’t end and you didn’t pull away, he got slightly startled. His hand went to your hip, his thumb caressing the bone. He didn’t deepen it further in fear that you would get anxious, so you took another leap further and climbed onto his lap, refusing to break the contact.

He tasted of his favorite gum - spearmint. Your tongue ventured into his mouth, breathing in the sharp flavor of it. He continued to play with your hip bone, and his other arm wrapped around your back, holding you steady. He was the one to break off the make-out session when he realized that it could turn into so much more, so quickly. “Did something good happen?” He asked, smiling, pressing his forehead against yours. Nose to nose, skin to skin.

“I missed you.” You said, and teasingly licked his lips. “Is that so bad?”

“Yeah.” Jake said, surprising you. “It’s bad I have to be gone long enough for you to miss me.”
