Mary Shelley! My Bungou Stray Dogs OC! She’s based off the author Mary Shelley, who wrote “Frankenstein : The Modern Prometheus” and is largely credited as the mother of Science Fiction and a great horror author as well!
Because she was so young when she wrote Frankenstein I thought I would make her a younger character (I made her 14 but I’ll be honest she looks much younger than that oops) She's 5'1" or 154.94 cm.
Her ability is named after the book previously mentioned, and named after it. She is able to reanimate Corpses for short periods of time, but they can sometimes turn on her and don’t always do as she wants. Because of this she usually uses smaller animals rather than humans, as they are easier to fight off and control, but she CAN reanimate humans. They are not alive when they are reanimated.
The patches on her skin don’t really have anything to do with her ability, I just thought it would be a good touch. Kinda like how dazai has his weird magic bandages, yknow?
She’s an excitable person, and talks a lot. She has a rather warped sense of morality, but is generally nice. She is good friends with her coworkers Dr. Seuss, Barbara Parks, and S. E. Hinton, who are all sort of parental figures in her life. She does not get along with her boss, Douglas Adams, but does get along with his second in command, Eoin Colfer, who taught her how to read and write.
Before being hired by Douglas Adams, Mary was leading a semi normal life, but had incredibly cruel parents. When she finally fought back one day, and killed them both by reanimating some dead animals in the nearby woods to do the dirty work, while fleeing she met him for the first time and he saw her powers and how useful they could be. She was hired on the spot. Since then, she has lived a moderately happy life. She will do anything to protect this new life.
She is a member of the Hitchhikers, a group of ability users.
