I picked the Ta’ Veren because to me they symbolize the effects of changing the wheel. They make less probable events more probable, but they still keep balance. I think for a Tarot deck that symbolism really speaks to me
Min can work for The Star. I find that trying to find something to fit the star is hard. But Min and the Cycle are definitely two different backgrounds for the same card. I do like Min because she is a person that has an actual story.
Thank you for your preference of Elyas. I really love both characters and they both really work for the card. Maybe I am blinded because of how much I love Herid Fel
And no you aren’t being too critical. While I have read the whole Wheel of Time series more times than I can count I have never owned a Tarot deck (Even though I have wanted too for a while.) So people giving me help is exactly what I need.
Ah okay, no that really makes sense for the wheel. I was mostly driven by the visual symmetry between the two, so on second look that thematic symmetry works a lot better.
Have you got any ideas for the minor arcana? Are you going to use more mundane items (E.g. Heron Marked sword for the swords, Tar Valon crowns for pentacles etc.) or maybe using (ter'/sa')angreal as the minor arcana (E.g. Callandor for swords, Seals of the Dark One's prison for pentacles etc.) Or something else entirely?
I'm glad to help as much as I can: I've read Wheel of Time only once, and I've done some tarot but I'm by no means an expert but hopefully I can provide some useful advice. I'm such a sucker for themed tarot decks though: every time I see the evangelion one I have to convince myself not to buy it.
On another note. MY FIRST SUBMISSION!!
