If Vriska had more interactions with Jake in story she would have had a crush on him and vice versa. He's an awkward plucky pop-culture obsessed boy with a love of adventure. Thats basically John and Tavros in a nutshell.

Plus, Vriska is a blue alien who, much like Dirk, is always attempting to be the "mastermind manipulator" and puts up a tough facade that once you crack, theyre actually kinda a dork
