"y/n," i felt myself being shaken awake. "y/n," they called again. i opened my eyes and saw jake. "i need you to come to the airport with me, a few friends from back home are flying in," he said. "right now?" i sat up. "their flight lands in like an hour, so i wanna leave in like 30 minutes," he said. "okay," i stretched, before getting up.
i quickly put on a pair of leggings, and threw on one of carrington's hoodies he left here. he had went home about a month ago for a little mental break, which i didn't blame him one bit. i've facetimed him and everything, but it's just not the same as seeing him in person. i brushed my teeth and my hair, putting my shoes on, and making my way downstairs.
"you ready?" jake asked and i nodded, and he put his shoes on, before grabbing his keys. "let's go," he said and we made our way outside and to his car, and he started driving to the airport. "how long are they staying for?" i asked him. "i'm not sure yet, a couple days at least," he said and i nodded, looking out the window.
we eventually made it to the airport, and we got out, making our way inside. "okay, i told them we'd wait for them over at starbucks," jake said looking up from his phone, and we walked over and stood in front of starbucks. "they should be landing in like 10 minutes," jake said and i nodded. after about 15 minutes, people starting coming out of the gate.
about another 15 minutes went by, and i felt a tap on my shoulder, and i turned, assuming it was jake, but jake wasn't even looking at me. i turned my head back over, jumping when i saw someone standing right in front of me. after a second i realized it was carrington. "carrington!" i gasped, before wrapping my arms around his neck. he laughed, wrapping his arms around me, picking me up, and i wrapped my legs around his waist.
"hi baby," he said, kissing my temple, and i just held onto him tighter. "wait," i said and looked at jake. "no one from back home is coming?" i asked and he shook his head. "nope, just carrington," he smiled. i turned back to look at carrington, and he was already looking at me, smiling. "hi pretty," he smiled. "hi," i smiled, leaning in to kiss him. "you look so cute in my hoodie," he smiled, and i blushed, hiding my face in his neck.
"okay love birds, let's go home, i got your bags carrington." carrington started walking, still carrying me. "i missed you," i mumbled into his shoulder. "i missed you more, baby," he kissed my cheek and kept walking. we made it to the car, and he put me down, before giving me one more kiss, before we got in the car and made our way back home.
