Still rewatching Madam Secretary.
One of the saddest thing about Connection Lost is Henry not seeing Elizabeth in that gown.
I understand why he didn’t go to the dinner, but you can tell from Elizabeth’s face she had plans for the night that went beyond the dinner. It was him in a tux and her in one of the most gorgeous dresses in existence and you know she picked her outfit with him in mind and wanted to see his reaction. She wanted the evening to be nice for Henry too; she probably had post-dinner ideas, thanking him for showing up despite his feelings on the matter; and everything got cancelled because he didn’t go.
It makes me so sad. Also lowkey angry at Henry because HENRY BOY YOU MISSED OUT.
