doodled up a mouth ref for the Jakkobits since i’ve been struggling with settling on oral anatomy for them. They’re omnivorous and eat primarily bugs and fruit, so I tried to make their teeth reflect that; sharp, rodent-y incisors for taking bites out of fruits and softer crawlies, and big blunt molars for chomping through bug shells and harder fruit!

another fun tidbit, their teeth are hardened cartilage and like a rodent’s, they never stop growing, so they have “gnawing devices” to grind down their teeth so they don’t overgrow!

they basically have weirdly-arranged rat teeth lol

Iforgot Mypants in the Whirlpool galaxy! She’s a Jakkobit.

this fellow is Charbit, he’s a member of a race called jakkobits, one of the four races native the Draxalia (vendri homeworld)

Jackbits are a monosex psuedomammal species that evolved on a large island that’s constantly wracked by storms.

While jakkobits are monosex, Charbit here uses male pronouns for convenience.

better ref of the jakkobits’ mouth anatomy! the little claws on their palps are venomous and pack a nasty sting! Jakkobit venom isn’t particularly strong as it’s used for defense rather than hunting, but a bite from them will sting and itch like mad.
