Lab 1. Frame Relay Inverse-ARP
Dari gambar diatas saya mau share bagaimana cara mengkonfigurasi frame-relay sederhana. Yang dibutuhkan adalah 4 router, dimana 1 router sebagai Switch Frame Relay dan ketiga router lainya sebagai router yang akan dihubungkan melalui FRSW. Untuk konfigurasi masing-masing routernya sebagai berikut :
Konfigurasi di R1 ======================= R1(config)#interface s0/0 R1(config-if)#ip address 10.10.10.1 255.255.255.0 R1(config-if)#encapsulation frame-relay R1(config-if)#no shutdown

Pada console kita akan lihat, frame-relay invers-arp langsung bekerja otomatis untuk memapping L3 ke L2 pada frame-relay tanpa kita mengkonfigurasi apapun selain merubah enkapsulasi menjadi frame-relay.

Dalam mapping diatas terlihat kata dynamic, itu karena dari router FRSW ngeBroadcast ke semua DLCI yang didapat dari LMI interfacenya dimana setelah dilakukan no shutdown pada masing-masing interface router dia akan request inverst-arp di DLCI.
