KEEY YER EYES PEELED: Jam Therapy
I had just arrived in Austin, TX when I requested an Uber to head downtown. Little did I know that my Uber driver was the drummer in Jam Therapy and offered to play his band's music for the ride. There is something thrilling about hearing a band without a preconceived bias or even knowing the band's name. I was instantly captivated by tracks like "Foxbit" and "Paper Boy." Another track I recommend is "Voodoo Shop" for being funky and encompassing a raging guitar solo. Jam Therapy accurately depicts the band's classic rock influences without sounding like a Led Zeppelin or Jimi Hendrix rip-off. These four musicians epitomize groovy rock and roll, in addition to displaying the ability to write a song that is longer than 3 minutes, which is a skill typically lacking in music today. Jam Therapy's aptitude for blending vintage rock qualities with their own contemporary sound is the main reason to Keep Yer Eyes Peeled to see what is up next for this Austin band!
