"Hypno: The hypnosis pokemon. The arcing movement and glitter of the pendulum in a Hypno's hand lull the foe into deep hypnosis. While searching for prey, it polishes the pendulum."
Hypno is a Psychic type pokemon, so it's weak to Bug, Ghost, and Dark types. Any of these are viable options, though with this particular pokemon, it's always a good idea to use a pokemon that either cannot fall asleep, or that knows moves that can be used even when asleep.
I unfortunately have none of those pokemon, so let's just wing it with Swampert.
Sun streamed in through the single open window. Dust was illuminated and swam through the air in lazy patterns through the late-day light. A cool breeze blew in through the open, dusty window, traveling it's way over to the nearby bed and ruffling the still-wet hair of the girl sitting upon it.
Sitting, not lying. Jam was done with lying down, it was time to get up again. The familiar tug of the dark void of depression was still pulling in there life, but a spark of hope had been re-lit. There was light now, there was a way. Drifting through the halls in seemingly unrelated ways and to unnecessarily dangerous places, Jam had gotten herself into more trouble than needbe and pissed off several people in the process. She could apologize to them later, but as of now she felt confident again. Visiting those places of dear memories smacked her upside her selfish head, yelling at her to get her ass up and instead of wallowing to fucking help the one in need.
So simple, only the extremely selfish wouldn't think of it.
...Jam wasn't perfect I think we can all agree here.
She stood up, and closed the window. Quickly, she dressed. Putting on her actual uniform for the first time in awhile, and eating something for the first time in what felt equally as long, a new energy surged through Jam. Grabbing her knife and pokeballs off her dresser, and motioning for Sherlock to follow her, She headed out the door, locking the door behind her.
Jam was on a mission now, with a clear goal in mind this time. She needed to help ana. How, she wasn't sure, but there had to be SOME way. In passing, she was pretty sure she heard some updates on Ana's health. Something about lockdown? She was remembering the wrong memories? While this did scare Jam, it also gave her hope. Ana was remembering, it was possible. You didn't have to be a detective to figure out the only way to the senior elite was through the principal, so instead of heading towards the familiar nurse's office, Jam took and different turn and started heading towards the Principal's.
Honestly this hallway should be a lot more familiar to her. One would think with the ammount of times Jam has skipped class or caused mayhem in general she would be around this area more. Standing outside the looming door infront of her, Jam took a deep breath to calm her nerves, and opened the door. She needed to convince the principal to let her see Ana.
Jam tore down the halls, nearly knocking down several students and going faster than she had ever ran before. Her breath came in shallow puffs, not from the exertion but from panic. Jam was on the verge of a break down and it had only taken two words to bring her to this state.
"Ana forgot."
No. She couldn't forget. That wasn't possible. Forgot everything? Everything they had said? All the adventures they had?
Everything Jam had confided in her?
Jam always prided herself on how independent she was. She didn't need anyone or anything. Her problems were for her to deal with, and she didn't need anyone to help. She didn't need any "friends". They would only leave her anyways.
She was okay with being alone.
She was wrong.
Jam realized now that she was wrong, something she would've never acknowledged before. That was something else that Ana had done. She taught her to accept her mistakes, to rely on her friends. But how are you supposed to rely on them when they aren't THERE?? Jam wasn't okay with being alone anymore.
She felt so alone. She didn't want to feel alone ever again.
How could Ana leave her alone? Didn't she promise?
It was stupid to think that people would keep their promises. And like the stupid little kid that she was, Jam didn't learn her lesson.
After what felt like an eternity, she arrive at the nurse's office. Ignoring anyone's protests to her barging in, she frantically looked around, searching for the girl with purple hair. Jam felt her breath ease a little when red eyes met purple ones, then simultaneously felt her throat tighten when no recognition was in the blank stare. "A-ana?" Jam shakily asked.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" The words bombarded Jam, drowing out everything. She felt as if she was falling. Falling back down into that familiar dark pit that Ana had tried so hard to pull her out of.
"Y-you don't recognize me?" Jam asked, tried her best to keep it together. Her voice quaverred and broke, a strangled sob escaping her throat. She cautiously moved forward towards the bed, she tried her best not to break face after her voice betrayed her, but her lip quivered dangerously, and she felt tears start to form, which she quickly blinked back.
"No. Should I?"
Jam nodded, trying her best not to cry. "Yeah..." She whispered. "It's Jam... r-remember? Y-you're t-training me Ana... Y-you don't r-remember any of it?"
Ana shook her head no, looking perplexed and more than slightly worried that this young girl was about to cry.
"Y-your don't r-remember the m-maze? I h-had to catch y-your litwick!" She was next to the bed now, and her cheeks glistened, now wet, but Jam continued speaking. "O-or that time you c-caught me a-and my personality was reversed? I always acted like I didn't r-remember.... Y-you carried me around everywhere and k-kept hugging me?? Not that???" Her voice was growing frantic as Ana continued to shake her head no.
Jam continued to speak with a faster pace and frequency, obviously bordering on a panic attack. "P-please ana! You have to remember! I..." Her voice broke off, and she felt herself on her knees next to the bed, clinging to the sheets and pleading as if her life depended on it. "Y-you h-have to..." She finally broke, sobbing now. In between sobs and frantic breaths she continued to talk to the best of her abilities.
"A-ana p-p-please!!" Jam stuttered and practically screamed. A large hand touched her shoulder, presumably belonging to the nurse. Jam quickly threw it off, looking up at the man with eyes wide with fear, looking like a cornered animal. "NO! SHE HAS TO REMEMBER! SHE SAID SHE WOULDN'T LEAVE ME ALONE." Jam screamed, hysteric. "Ana! Remember Rae!" She continued to struggle against whoever was trying to move her. "You found my letter! YOU FOUND ME IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR. ANA NO I CAN'T LOSE MY SISTER AGAIN!"
Voices were heard, the nurse was calling someone to come and take care of this girl who was disrupting the patient.
"YOU TOOK CARE OF ME WHEN I GOT TURNED INTO A TODDLER! WE WENT ON ADVENTURES TOGETHER IN A CAVE WHEN YOU TURNED YOURSELF INTO A GUY! A-ANA!" Her voice was growing hoarse, everything she said being broken by sobs. She grabbed Ana's hand, who was now looking at her with a mixture of fear, pity, and confusion.
Fast approaching steps came from the hallway, someone was coming. "Nononono, Ana please remember!" She pleaded, obviously in a full-blown panic attack. Her breath came in short gasps when she paused long enough to breath, and she tightly gripped Ana's hand.
Another hand was placed on Jam's shoulder, and she freaked out. "NO!NONONO YOU CAN'T TAKE ME AWAY SHE HAS TO REMEMBER!" She cringed and buried her face in the bed sheets, her pleadings becoming even more unintelligible. Strong arms encircled her waist, and Robert tired to talk to Jam, to calm her down.
Jam wasn't taking any of this, none of the words were getting through to her, all she knew was that Ana still didn't remember, and not even her moirail could pacify her now. "ANA PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME! NO LET ME GO I CAN'T GO AGAIN NONONON LET ME GO!" she screamed, trying to cling to Ana, then struggling madly as Robert lifted her up and made her release Ana. She flailed and kicked her legs madly, trying to escape, hoarsly screaming things such as "NO!" or "ANA PLEASE!" She sobbed and reached out for the senior, extremely afraid of leaving.
Robert continued to try and talk to Jam, keeping hold of her despite how much she squirmed. He held Jam tightly and moved towards the nurse, Jam kicking and screaming in panic as she grew further away from Ana. "NO STOP ANA PLEASE REMEMBER NO LET ME GO SHE HAS TO REMEMBER SHES GOING TO FORGET ME AGAIN PLEASE LET ME GO I CAN'T LEAVE." A sharp prick in the back of Jam's neck cause her to cry out in pain, then her eyelids grew heavy. "n-no...ana..." she weakly reached out for the other elite before she slipped out of consciousness, and Robert carried the limp body out of the nurse after apologizing to Ana, looking to be holding back tears himself. Whether it was because of his moirail's freakout or Ana's condition it was impossible to tell.
"Come little children, I'll take thee away, into a land of enchantment."
A small blade gently traced down her chin, it's wielder grinning maniacally and gently singing the words of the ominous lullaby. Oh, this had been too easy. Who knew Jam was so gullible, not to mention so weak? The doppleganger laughed, and cupped Jam's quivering chin in her hand, and wiped away her tears with another, "Did you really think you could beat me, Jen?" She asked, being sure to use her real, hated name.
"Come little children, the time's come to play, here in my garden of shadows."
The entire operation had gone completely according to plan, Jam really was just too predictable. A few cries of pain from a pokemon brought the tiny elite running. Jam froze in her tracks when she saw the culprit in the small pokemon's pain. It was herself. 'Well, that's what the stupid bitch probably thought anyway'the trickster chuckled to herself. No, what Jam had seen was a much better, much smarter, much prettier, and much meaner version of herself. Perfectly styled hair made of bright purple hard candy framed a pale white face, lips stained with a rainbow of colors were spread into a wide grin, a tootsie pop hanging out of one side, adding it's orange stain to the lips. The outfit looked the same, but the skirt seemed to be made out of tootsie pop wrappers, the vest a bright cherry red and the shirt underneath a chocolate brown. Upon Jam's eyes meeting the trickster's orange, two pokeballs were pulled out. "Sherlock, Swampert, why don't you come out and play with out guest?" said a smooth, honey-coated voice, dripping with ruthlessness and sarcasm. Jam just continued to stand there dumbfounded, like the idiot she was.
"Follow sweet children, I'll show thee the way, through all the pain and the sorrows."
What seemed like two black beams of shadows shot from the two pokeballs, and out of the dark flash of light came two pokemon, with grins as ruthless as their trainers. In that moment Jam realized the trickster and the pokemon were standing in a dark pool of blood. The trickster laughed at her horror, a clear, mockingly innocent sound. She brought her hand up to her mouth, and licked the blood of the dead zigzagoon off her fingers, then turning to the side and kicking the small, limp body out of the way. There was no reason to keep that useless pokemon around anymore. All the trickster needed was her two partners in crime. The persian and swampert roared in unison, and began creeping towards Jam. Their bodies were darker, duller shades than the original, and the eyes on both glowed a bright red.
"Weep not poor children, for life is this way, murdering beauty and passion."
Faster than the dumb bitch could react, the pokemon attacked, hurling themselves at the elite. The "original" Sherlock, however, reacted quick enough and lept forward to knock the two away from his trainer. Good, at least we would have a little bit of fun. By then, Jam had managed to collect herself enough to call swampert out of his pokeball and gain the look of determination she had whenever she fought.
"Hush now dear children, it must be this way, too weary of life and deception."
Of course it was no match, however. Strong as they might be, trickster Sherlock and Swampert were that much stronger. In minutes the two were knocked unconsious, and Jam was left in a situation that she never hoped to be in. Calling the two dark pokemon back, trickster pulled out a tiny dagger and grinned, beggining to slowly walk towards her original.
"Rest now my children, for soon we'll away, into the calm and the quiet."
Of course Jam tried to run, but she didn't get far. Small but strong hands encircled her neck, cutting off all air as she was lifted a few inches off the ground. "Now, there can't be two of us, now can there, hmm? Jen?" The trickster asked, sounding almost sympathetic. Choking, Jam was unable to respond, but managed to spit in the dopplegangers face in defiance.
"Come little children, I'll take thee away, into a land of enchantment."
"Well then, if that's how your going to play, so be it. Naughty children must be punished." The tickster hissed, the playful, sarcastic smile replaced with eyes full of hatred and gritted teeth. With a grunt, Trickster!Jam threw her captive against the ground, smirking as she heard Jam's head smack against the hard stone. "Hmm, where should I start? I know, how about this ugly face? that could definitely use some work." She grinned, and suddenly brought her foot down on the defensless elite's face.
"Come little children, the time's come to play, here in my garden of shadows."
The trickster dragged out every painful moment for as long as possible, drinking in the tears and cries of pain. Finally, she stopped, growing bored. Trickster!Jam knelt down, staring straight into Jam's glazed eyes. "Well, that wasn't much of a fight at all was it? Honestly, I was hoping for much, much more, Jen. Oh well, life's full of disapointments I guess. I don't think I'll kill you though, nah, I think you would like that wouldn't you? The freedom of death, spared from the shame of anyone seeing you in this poor, weak state." She leaned in close to Jam's ear and whisperred,"Cause that's what you are, you're weak, Jen, and you aren't fooling anyone. You aren't powerful, you arent a threat, you're a puppy with a big bark and no bite, and you're weak. Everyone's going to see that now." She stood up, sheathing her blade. "Wish I could stay, but it looks like my time is almost up. We should do this again sometime. It was fun. See ya, Jen!" She laughed as the elite blacked out, and took her leave.
----------------------------LATER (NOW FROM JAM'S POV)-------------------------------------------
Jam tried to sit up, and almost fell back to the the ground as her chest screamed in protest. Her sides felt as if they were on fire, burning in the strain and effeort that came with the sudden movement. She opened her mouth to scream, but was quickly met with a new pain as the skin on her lip, which had just stopped bleeding, ripped open anew. Barely holding back tears, her breath was fast and shallow and she tried to fight through the pain in order to sit up.
The skin around her eye was a deep blue and nearly swollen shut. A not-so-dull throbbing could be felt beneath the inured skin. blinking away tears to the best of her ability, only a bright, blurry strip of light was visible to Jam, who's glasses had been broken. She could feel shards of glass that had cut into the skin around her eye, causing extra blood to drip down her face.
The area above her lip felt warm and sticky. Putting a finger up to it, Jam pulled them away to see then covered in bright red blood. She gingerly touched her nose, and jerked her hand away at the sharp pain. Definitely broken and gushing blood. She cups a hand over it, to try and stem the flow, and grits her teeth against the pain, more tears betraying Jamc and flowing out of bother damaged and undamaged eye. The warm, sticky blood that flowed from her lip continued downward to mix with that dripping from her split lip.
Feeling as if she had taken full stock of her injuries, Jam tried to stand up. She braced her hands against the ground, and put her weight upon her feet.
And nearly blacked out from the sudden pain that greeted her. Bolts of lightning seemed to shoot though her ankle, causing her to scream in pain and fall onto her back. Tears of sheer pain flowed freely now, and through blurry, squinted eyes Jam could hardly make out any distinctive shapes, but could see that her foot was pointing in the wrong direction.
"Oh... oh god..." she whisperred, choking on her sobs, "S-someone....help...." Jam pleaded quietly, unable to move from the ground where she lay in her broken state. "Rob... someone... anyone... please help me...."
