Zips’ Funeral
Those who were attending the viewing of the funeral waited before Torrent stood before them, the captain looked tired and in grief.
“Everyone,” Torrent started to speak. “I…I want to thank you all for coming. My brother would have appreciated it so much…
“It’s been difficult these last couple of days since…he passed away…and there isn’t a day that goes by that I wish for it all to be a dream…It’s rarely that simple however, no matter how much we believe we can change the past.
“Zips was the light that we never thought we have in our lives. He brought this sense of happiness and sees the good in every one of us here. He was always there when we needed him when we felt down or sad…Heh…and always was the one to bring something sweet for us and then himself.”
A few heartfelt chuckles were heard in the crowd, remembering of Zips’ contagious happiness and his sweet tooth. Torrent continued,
“I suppose what I want to say is…that I’ll never forget my brother, I will miss him every day…because I love him. He was and forever is a brother…a loving mate…a father…a best friend for all of us…”
He turns to the crystal coffin that held the lifeless mako, the tear ran from Torrent’s eyes again. He spoke softly. “Goodbye brother…I’ll see you in the Heavenly Seas again…”
Tide and Tank held each other’s hands, Echo watches with a solemn face as Malik was silently crying in Brick’s embrace. Everyone took a moment of silence…
