In the beloved 1993 Halloween classic 𝑯𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔 𝑷𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔, Vanessa Shaw’s character wore this incredible peach robe à la française to her parents’ Halloween Party. However, this piece did not originate with 𝑯𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔 𝑷𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔! It was initially designed by James Acheson for Michelle Pfeiffer as Madame De Tourvel in the 1988 film 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑳𝒊𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒔. So I Saw This Costume...
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein / Helena Bonham Carter as Elizabeth Lavenza
Elizabeth wears this gown to a dance held in honor of Victor Frankenstein going off to study at the university, a scene which takes place in 1789. The front of the gown is embroidered with flowers, leaves, and what appears to be wheat. We can see in the bottom photo that the embroidery continues around the back.
Frock Flicks did a great writeup of the costumes for this film, which were designed by James Acheson. I borrowed several of their photos, in fact!

Many monsters in the original Doctor Who series were the result of collaboration between the BBC's costume, makeup and visual effects departments, or with freelance firms.
A perfect example would be the namesake aliens of 'Terror of the Zygons'; the initial design was sketched by the serial's assigned costume designer James Acheson (future Oscar-winning costume designer of Time Bandits, Brazil, Dangerous Liaisons and The Last Emperor). Acheson looked at half-formed embyros in amniotic sacs for inspiration!
It was beyond the capacity of the BBC's own costume department to make, so Acheson turned to sculptor John Friedlander of the BBC's Visual Effects Department. Friedlander sculpted the ribcage, head and face of the Zygon suits.
