Domestic Roleplay ~ James Concannon & Alex Patrick Dyck ~ Galerie Manque, Brooklyn, NY ~ September 2017

James Concannon and Alex Patrick Dyck are New York City-based lovers and collectors. As hoarders of the infinite, their ongoing obsessions act as a catalogue of continuous human emotion, both personal and collective, via activated object imagery. Domestic Roleplay is an exploration of highly personal quotidian signifiers. It is a voyeuristic glance into the intimate experience of an amorous relationship, a glimpse that is at once sensuous, startling, passionate and perverse. Straddling the anxiety-inducing boundary of pleasure and pain, Domestic Roleplay aims to transmute ideals and objects evocative of traditional domesticity. The lovers and the lovers of collected objects are both occupied by an inherent fear of loss, a fear of death: a lack mirrored by its own desire.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA ROCKS JAMES CONCANNON, HELMUT LANG & MANOLO BLAHNIK

Lady Gaga was spotted leaving her apartment and strolling around New York City on July 27th, 2015. For this outing she went for a very casual and popular combination fashion-wise: camouflage and denim. Here’s what she wore.

Gaga wore this sick jacket by artist James Concannon. The vintage navy camouflage jacket reads “Blondes Not Bombs” in bold, yellow hand-painted letters and features a golden all seeing eye patch on the front. 

Her paint splatter skinny jeans are vintage Helmut Lang. Above you can see a very similar pair. 

The bra underneath is the Morgan Lane Juliet bra which you can read more about here.

The singer accessorized her look with the Persol Ratti 653 brown tortoiseshell round sunglasses with silver arrow element on the temples.

Gaga’s also rocking her FitBit charge activity + sleep wristband...

...and Manolo Blahnik blue snakeskin leather BB pointed-toe pumps completed the look.

A day before the songstress left her apartment at night in another James Concannon creation.

The oversized dark plaid vintage coat is painted with the words “Alexander McQueen Sex Dream”.

Of course, to match the theme, she sported a pair of petrol-green snakeskin leather Armadillo ankle boots from Alexander McQueen’s iconic Spring/Summer 2010 “Plato’s Atlantis” collection. 

Her crystal-embellished eye stickers are signed by Face Lace.

At the U2 concert later that night, Gaga wore nothing but her Armadillo boots at the Tableaux Vivants Dolce black latex bra top.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA OUT IN JAMES CONCANNON

Lady Gaga was photographed leaving her apartment in New York City with her pooch Asia on June 22, 2015 to take her out walking in the Big Apple. 

Lady Gaga wore another handmade T-shirt by artist James Concannon. This one spells “Ass, Gas or Darby Crash” with bold black letters made using spray paint. 

Her vintage acid wash grommet detail cut-off denim shorts are Levi’s. I’ve pictured a similar version for you above.

She also rocked vintage Prada PR51IS 5AV/3O1 gunmetal grid sunglasses completed the look.

Custom Giuseppe Zanotti black suede knee-high Swarovski crystal-paved boots completed the look. 

The songstress also walked her pooch Asia using the Wagwear Boat canvas collar and leash ($24).

A lot of monsters loved the short Rock’n’Roll phase Gaga went through in June 2015. Here are the details on the fierce white and red look she opted for when stepping out of her apartment on June 19th, 2015 in New York City.

Gaga’s “Lou Reed Speed Queen” Hanes white crew-neck T-shirt is customized by artist James Concannon. 

The singer loved his work so much that she bought almost his entire collection plus ordered custom pieces. 

Her red leather shorts with elastic waistband are custom-made by David Samuel Menkes.

Vintage sunnies and custom Giuseppe Zanotti red suede knee-high Swarovski crystal-paved boots completed the look.

CHEEK TO CHEEK TOUR: MEET & GREET FASHION PT. II

Here’s another fashion roundup for the some other “Cheek To Cheek” tour dates. If you missed the first post, click here to catch up. This is also going to be the last chapter since she didn’t have many meet & greets.

After their performance at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Texas on April 25th, Gaga and Tony both posed backstage for some nice Instagram photos. 

The Italian-American singer was dressed in the beautiful Birds red deep-plunging V-neck dress with ruched sleeves and embroidery from Delphine Manivet’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection.

Her Nostra Chandelier crystal earrings are by CARAT* London.

The look was completed with a fabulous pair of Charlotte Olympia red suede & mesh sandals with crystal-pavéd platform and chunky heel.

Gaga took the tour to Radio City Music Hall, New York on June 22. She was later seen exiting the venue in the same Meet & Greet outfit.

She wore a vintage oversize camo jacket with almighty eye appliqué, that was customized with the words “Blondes Not Bombs” by artist and designer James Concannon, cut-off denim jeans and a vintage "Eliminator” T-shirt by ZZ Top.

Her circular bedazzled shades are by German accessory label Konplott.

Her black velvet boots are the chunky Sam platform creeper boots with leather buckels and silver-tone hardware from Alexander Wang’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection.

On June 29th, the tour stopped in Wallingford, Connecticut at the Oakdale Theatre. Gaga also shared some pictures of her outfit that night. 

She wore a lingerie ensemble by Morgan Lane. She combined the Chloe bi-color silk bra with the pink striped Corey silk pajama shorts.

She also rocked black leather opera gloves and the Ksubi Fall/Winter 2012 Atlas shades.

The look was completed with custom black Swarovski crystal-pavéd suede boots Giuseppe Zanotti specially designed for her in an array of colors.
