Meet me at the warehouse on the outskirts of DT in half an hour.
Jetta sent that text message to James Dermott. She sat outside the worn down warehouse, a place she was surprised was still in tact. Perched up on the concrete wall, she looked down at the ground beneath her feet. It was surprisingly a big drop from where she sat. Drifting her eyes to look up, she scanned the landscape view of Devil Town. From where she sat, it looked almost normal. Just like any other town, but Jetta and all of it's residents knew the truth.
For the last day or so, Jetta had been hiding at the warehouse - her inner coward appearing, as it was her way of easily avoiding seeing Jude. It wasn't that she didn't want to see him, it was just too hard to be around him after everything. Jetta was very aware that her power made it easy to shut out the way she was feeling, so being at the warehouse alone gave her plenty of time to focus on that and ignore everything else going on in her life. Shifting from where she sat, she carefully stood up, watching where she placed her feet before stepping onto the grass and heading up the pathway that led to the entrance of the warehouse.
Telling James about her power was a weight off her shoulders, but it was also another thing she wanted to make sure he kept a secret. Regardless, he was interested in these kind of abilities. That meant that he'd happily help her out with mastering her power, or so she hoped. She'd come to enjoy spending time with James. More often than not, she found he had the same effect her power had on her - making her forget about the things in her life that actually mattered.
Minutes fell off the time as she waited for him to come and join her. Knowing her luck, he was probably busy marking school work. Standing outside the front of the warehouse, Jetta's arms moved straight in front of her as she began to focus. Her hands were aimed at the roof top, feeling the rusty metal from where she stood. The magnetic force between her hands and it was getting increasingly stronger and in a matter of seconds her body was twisting in the air, levitating above the ground as she used the magnetic connection to the roof to flip herself up there effortlessly. It was risky, having never done it before. But she'd never know unless she gave it a shot. Landing on the roof, her heels slammed down on it, making a few dents in the rough surface. The view seemed even better all the way up here.
Kicking her heel against the roof, she stamped across it, leaving a trail of fine marks. Small stars twinkled in the dark night sky as an Autumn breeze swept across, causing Jetta to tug the sleeves of her leather jacket down. In the near distance, she spotted head lights belonging to a vehicle. Both assuming and hoping it was James, she scurried around, trying to find a way to get herself off the roof. She hadn't really thought about that when she had so happily pulled herself up there. She figured she'd attempt to do it backwards, and for the most part, it worked but resulted in her crashing at the last second, hitting the hard ground with a lot of force. She let out a groan, but it hardly hurt, like she had an intolerance to pain.
Standing up and brushing the dirt off her, she took a look at the person exiting the car. Thankfully, it was James. "You're early," she commented. Smirking at him, she decided to lead the way inside the empty warehouse, scattered with keg stands and empty bottles of alcohol. "I was practising using my power here," Jetta said openly, not scared of what James would say. "But I wanted your help, seeing as how you know all about this kind of thing." Smiling a little, she gave a tiny shrug. "I figured you could give me some tips." Pulling a strand of hair back, one of her hands tucked into the pocket of her jeans, holding herself in a casual manner.
