Im just gonna come out and say it: im more excited for the Fields backstory than I am for Aidens.
Bro had experience with a gun as a kid, his family has ties with a mafia gang thing, and somehow he came out of it with confidence issues (because like those had to come from SOMEWHERE). The first 'friend' he had used him and bullied, and he was too afraid to do anything about it.
The fact that they call them "friends" yet dont want them to take the kids in/dont trust that they would be good with Logan etc speaks VOLUMES. Like is this a Maverick situation where they are playing as friends to call in favours if needed (will elaborate on that later) or what???
(Also I have a theory that Mary and James took Logan out the environment because it was HELLA unhealthy for a child and his parents werent going to do it so they had to step up)
Anyways... they say they were from a lower ranking family however I dont think this is true... because if they were theres no WAY theyd be able to get them to attack a government facility the way they did unless the group are directly against the facility for some reason or just have some REALLY good friends... or family. Later I think he refers to them as "The Family" so im assuming its a family friend kinda thing? But idk. The group also announced themselves when they attacked the facility which means they dont care about it being a secret? Which is weird? Or maybe they got caught at some point and were forced too (and if so... maybe we will see them in season 3?)
The way they talk about giving Alex a code and stuff to relay makes me think its like a pre planned thing incase they get in trouble? Y'know?
Now... when Logan was trying to shoot the Phantom pining Ash down he kept on thinking about what would happen if he mis fired (which happened again in the facility escape where Tyler was telling him to fire). This is a reasonable fear to have of course, but also... what if that fear came from somewhere? We dont know anything about his parents or family minus his grandparents who seem ultra protective of him for some reason. All im saying is that I think this is all the outcome of SOMETHING.
And... James and Mary Fields sound to... common, nothing you'd really expect from those of Greek decent (not saying that CANT happen im just saying... idk it seems off). It gives John and Jane Doe vibes if you get the gist? Same with Logan. Idk i really think they changed it to go under the radar, running from something, from someone.
James basically admits he has been locked up himself, and later on he picks a lock. If his grandfather has been through that whose to say Logan didnt go through something like that?
And the way Logan talks about Maverick...
Im pretty sure hes the first person to TRULY suggest this idea. Sure Ben prompted it but he was the one to say they didnt really have a choice, that it was the best thing they could do. And the way he IMMEDIATELY jumps to fleeing the country... idk makes me think he has experience.
And his grandfather has a simular opinion... maybe because he is doing the exact same thing with his mafia "friends".
Now, some things about the facility escape:
Context: he was shooting at infected to help the facility guards who were after them.
It felt... like it was a reflex if that makes sense? To defend others and provide cover fire despite the fact that hes defending those again him.
Also another detail: the way he shot Jasmine. Three major shots to major spots:
Arm, then leg, then foot. Top to bottom, starting with the (presumably dominant) arm she was holding her weapon with. He put ALOT of thought into that.
The way he did it... like the areas he shot... it reminds me off areas you would see on like a target? Like in the movies where a characters practicing shooting and you have the target shaped like a human with stuff on their weak point? Y'know the one?
He had experience with a gun. "A little" sure, but experience none the less.
And then this line. The shaking hand.
Idk man somethings up.
Idk much about Mary but something just tells me shes an absolute BADASS.
