the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be apart of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.

We need to talk about how strategic those Phantom Clones from the finale are.
Clone Ben taking real Logan from the back of the group, taking him from behind and placing a hand over his mouth no less.
Logans one taking the real Logans place, the one who I think the group sees as a more vulnerable member. Sure he has proven himself to them and he is an absolute badass but deep down i think they all see the shy guy they knew from the start.
Then alerting Aiden and taking him down an alley (QUICK AS HELL MIND YOU) with multiple pathways. Now was that last part intentional? Idk but it caused the group to split.
From what we can tell from then onwards the clones split up. We see Ashlyns alone peaking out a door later on.
It all seems so INTENTIONAL like they damn well knew what they were doing!
Like.
Bro.
The fact that they are smart and seem to think like humans/the main group makes them so much more creepy.
In fact. What if, conciousness wise, they (clones) think they are the actual versions of the main group? They think something is in their body and theyre trying to get it back. Would explain how they seem to be thinking like them and stratagising like humans would instead of being more Phantom like.
Anyways, regardless, theyre smart. Way to smart.

Ok. But on another note. What could this imply. The only thing I can grasp is that they will end up probably mentioning a plan in present day and this will be that scene.
I'm curious if all three groups will have it at the relatively same time or if we'll get a few version of this scene for different ppl. My best guess is it is Ashlyn being reminded of it. Unless it's just a single panel flashback in which case idk
Im prolly tweaking here I'm more in tge character theories department.
Honestly based on how the following chess POV is placed, it looks like its coming from Aidens POV or maybe Taylors based on their placement in the first pannel. Im pretty sure Red does this sorta thing quite a bit: draws the closeups based on whose POV it is. (Ashlyn Logan and Tyler are too far for that close of a shot, and Bens at the wrong angle.)
Im leaning more towards Aiden based of the above and since we have seen a few things in his POV before (i think moreso than the others, besides Tay narrating Tys death scene which was pretty significant imo) so it wouldn't be so far fetched that Red would be more lilely to choose him. Plus hes closer and at a better angle than Tay.
Either that or im looking way to far into it 😭😅
I kinda agree ngl. And I mean while it's not hard evidence red does foreshadow a ton of stuff
headcanon that mariana used to sing lullabies in spanish to get the twins to fall asleep, and the songs have been such a huge comfort to them that even years after, when one of them would wake up from a terrible nightmare, the other twin will quietly sing the same lullabies to calm them down.
it's even more gut wrenching when over the years, during mariana's absence (negligence) the twins would struggle to remember the right words or pronunciation so they would opt to humming the lullabies instead.
