James was what he considered very good friends with Sirius. Brothers, really, especially now that Sirius had basically moved into James’ home. As such, James knew a bit about Sirius’s family-- in other words, who to avoid. His cousin, Bella, was on the top of that list. But then... James never followed rules well, and he had a bit of a habit when it came to bothering Slytherins, which is why when he came across the older girl, he put on a grin. 

“Bellatrix, innit?” he asked, hair becoming messier as he pushed fingers through it, “Oi, I’m friends with you’re cousin-- he said you’re about as Slytherin as they get. That mean you’re like... venomous or something? You know, like a snake?”

🏊 — swimming

   James never learned how to swim. This goes for all his verses. This said, it’s not a skill he’s oblivious about and he certainly won’t drown if he got dumped in the deep end. He’d most likely have seen people do it or quickly figure out what’s not working. He’ll just take a long time to make his way back to dry land.

Summary: Swimming skill level 2/10

🚿 — hygiene

   Given James works as a surgeon had keeps a very close eye on his personal hygiene. If he has to handle anything that could contaminate his medical supplies he’s going to wash his hands as soon as he gets the chance. In his fallout verse it’s one of the reasons he was so desperate to get a water purifier going. When he gets back from any sort of mission he’ll allocate time to shrug both himself and his clothes clean.

   The wasteland is disgusting and he’s determined to try to keep himself in a better state than that. Even if it can make him seem a little out of place at times.

   In his DA verse he tends to keep a basin of water in his working quarters for washing his hands in as well.

Summary: Hygiene skill level 9/10

🎹 — playing an instrument

   James has never actively sought out learning to play anything. If he ever did on the other hand, I think it’s a skill he’d be able to pick up quite quickly. If he put his mind to it I think he’d could be very good with a piano. Maybe in his modern verse...
