The tale of two lupins...
On June 20th, as part of a koike movie marathon broadcasting in Japan, they'll be premiering a prequel movie for the Immortal Bloodline...
Lupin the IIIRD: Zenigata and the two lupins.
(Was it you who was stolen...)
(Summary)
Bombs are falling from the sky during a terrorist attack at an airfield in the frigid land of the lovieto federation,
The suspect is none other than lupin the third.
Zenigata, on the other hand, doesn't buy the story one minute when another lupin is claiming he's innocent. Being a man of justice, inspector zenigatas beliefs are put to the test.
"Who is the real lupin"
//ooc: Good start to the day.
REDLINE DAY — James Shimoji
Right before the sunrise, one thing is on my mind Need to take the stress and throw it all away Feelings to discover, knowing undercover What it is you really mean to me You are the flower, I'm the rain Without you, life is not the same I'm everything you'll ever need Though rarely spoken, we still proceed I can see the sunrise, looking into your eyes You riding right next to me, and we both become one Heading towards the sun, following the line Following the redline to the sun
MACHINEHEAD'S THEME IN ASTRO BOT???
Is this a library sample I don't know about?
LUPIN THE IIIRD OBSERVATION
So I was trying to come up with a theory about the plot of the next Lupin the IIIRD movie (which by all indications is already in production because of recent Twitter photos of James Shimoji (composer) , in which both he and Takeshi Koike are in the picture).
I noticed a similar thing in all the movies: flowers
In the opening we can even see a camellia (I think it's a camellia, I'm not a flower expert)
Camellia represents desire, passion, admiration and perfection.
Each movie has a specific flower destined to the villain of the history
Lupin the IIIrd: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone (LUPIN the IIIrd~次元大介の墓標~)
Anemone and Parsley
Anemone is a symbol of protection and anticipation.
Parsley represents mockery, gratification, victory and imminent death
Lupin the IIIrd: Goemon Ishikawa's Spray of Blood (LUPIN THE ⅢRD 血煙の石川五ェ門 )
Butterfly Bush
I still don't know if it's Butterfly Bush or English lavender, but the meaning of Butterfly Bush for me makes more sense
Butterfly Bush represents rebirth, resurrection and a new beginning. (Let's be honest Hawk resurrected about 3 times and Goemon...you understand)
Lupin the IIIrd: Fujiko's Lie (LUPIN THE ⅢRD 峰不二子の嘘)
Devil's Trumpet
Devil's Trumpet symbolizes power and caution.
So if the rumors are true and it will be a Zenigata movie. Probably the villain will be Oscar.... Which flower suits him?
The duality of man is the composer who makes:
An acoustic guitar solo to accompany the evisceration of an entire Yakuza branch by one delirious dude with a sword, and
The fucking Pepsi Man theme
Me: Hm the "chicks and scotch - relive your pain" line in "revolver fires" feels a little off (besides jigens partnership with lupin making him less of a loner narratively than fujiko or goemon)
Me a second later: pfffffffff "dicks and scotch"
Honestly I think the lyrics of Revolver Fires just don't fit Jigen at all, for the aforementioned reasons and because... "chicks"... come one the guy is notoriously gay. (Unlike Satori and Innocent Deceiver which were really accurate, at least for this version of the characters) (and Satori fuckin slaps)
They should have definitely made the lyrics "dicks and scotch" instead XD
