Pressure (2026)
Directed by Anthony Maras
Cinematography by Jamie D. Ramsay
Highly recommend watching Pressure, the D-Day movie that just came out if you can! I absolutely adore seeing the sort of work that went on behind the scenes for military operations and this movie absolutely delivered. I found it incredibly compelling to watch how things went down, and even though we all know the result of D-Day, I was still on the edge of my seat! It was so beautifully shot too, like I was stunned. And the bits of real footage sprinkled in was absolutely perfect.
Get an exclusive sneak peek at "Pressure" (out May 29), a D-Day thriller starring Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott that hinges on a weather f

BIOGRAPHY
James Stagg was born to a Muggle woman and her pureblooded wizard husband. He was the older of two children, followed by a younger sister named Iris. There was no doubt about the inherent magic inside of James from a young age. He often caused things to happen when under the influence of strong emotion -- much to his father’s pleasure.
The Staggs had spent centuries ping-ponging between houses. James’ father had been a Hufflepuff while his father’s parents had been from Ravenclaw and Slytherin. On the Hogwarts Express, James met a fellow first year, a boy who possessed far more confidence than he -- a pureblooded wizard boy who seemed quite certain he’d be sorted into Gryffindor. Fleamont Potter was able to ease Jamie’s mind up until their arrival to the school. Somehow, James maintained a cool resolve even while terrified of the boat ride. He watched quietly as Monty was, indeed, sorted into Gryffindor. He, himself, was a hatstall between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor (though he ended up in the latter).
James quickly earned himself the reputation of being a know-it-all. He had the answers to everything and the practical skills, too, excelling the most in Charms and Defensive Magic. In his fifth year, James was elected Prefect by the Headmaster then went on to become Head Boy in seventh year. His OWLs and NEWTs were primarily Outstanding.
Imediately after his time at Hogwarts, James opted to follow around his best mate, Fleamont Potter, who’d earned himself quite the fortune on his hair potion. After the high of that experience wore off (read: after James could no longer stand to be ‘useless’), he became an auror, fighting the war against Gellert Grindelwald and his followers.
Just before his thirty-sixth birthday, James was killed for refusing to leak information Grindelwald deemed important. As Secret Keeper, there was no way to torture the information out of him. Grindelwald would later obtain the information from the next ministry wizard who had become the Secret Keeper after James’ death.
