Maumee, Ohio native, James Alex Fields Jr., was the driver of the 2010 Dodge Charger that plowed into the crowd of anti-white nationalist protesters in Charlottesville on August 12, 2017 that resulted in the murder of anti-racism activist Heather Heyer. The 22 year-old is said to have shown no signs of remorse and refers to Miss Heyer as “that girl” at all times he has referred to her. Fields has also been heard on a recording on a jail phone call from May 2019 speaking about the deceased’s mother stating, “that girl’s mother is talking to the Dems again, Congress, trying to get anti-white legislation passed.” A statement by a former classmate of Fields said that during a school visit to Germany, Fields “came alive when they visited a Nazi concentration camp where Jews were exterminated by the thousands, saying, "this is where the magic happened.” Fields was also found to have a photo of Hitler in his home by his bedside. The lawyers for Fields are defending citing that their client “should not have to spend his natural-born life in prison because of his age, the fact that he endured a traumatic childhood and his history of mental illness.” The lawyers have included the mans history of mental likeness, being raised by a single paraplegic mother and growing up with the knowledge that his Jewish grandfather murdered his grandmother in his defense. They also argued that not giving Fields a life sentence would be an act of mercy and show that “no individual is wholly defined by their worst moments.” The prosecutors of the case explained that “A sentence of life imprisonment will demonstrate to those who share the defendant’s same hate-filled ideologies and who may be considering violent action that such crimes will be met with severe punishment.” Fields was convicted of first-degree murder for the death of Heather Heyer. He has avoided the death penalty by taking a plea deal. His state sentencing is scheduled to take place next month July. #Charlottesville #JamesFields #HeatherHeyer #WhiteNationalist #MAGA #MakeAmericaGreatAgain #ProLife #VOTM #BlueLivesMatter Sources: dailymail.co.uk, Cincinnati.com, NBCNews.com https://www.instagram.com/p/BzGSJRhj8cb/?igshid=16l5trqvx4n1a
