Get To Know Me!!

I always wanted to do one of these but because I am a loser, no one has ever tagged me hahahah, so I figure what the hell I’ll do it anyways ;P

1. What is your middle name?: Keiki O’ Kaua’i (pronounced KAY-KEE O KAWA-EE, it’s hawaiian. which translates to “Child of Kaua’i” and Kaua’i is where I am from, it’s part of Hawai’i) check out Childish Gambino’s music vid for Telegraph Ave, it’s shot all over my island!

2. What was favorite subject at school?: I undeniably love stoichiometry in Chemistry, I could balance equations and convert moles to grams, grams to moles allllll day UPDATE: I graduated community college with my AS in Liberal Arts in May 2017. Attended a semester at University of Hawaii at Mānoa in August 2017-December 2017. Since then my favorite would have to be... Biology Lab!

3. What is your favorite drink?: Chai tea latte from Starbucks!! UPDATE: Since I’m convinced I’m lactose intolerant, I do enjoy the strawberry açaí refresher with thai walls (condensed milk, I know still dairy but far less LOL) a good ole coke, Baja Blast or something nice cold water!

4. What is your favorite song at the moment?: Lost Boy by Ruth B. UPDATE: I love finding new music in TV shows I watch and I so so so love “I Will Show You Love” by Kendall Payne! This was played in Grey’s Anatomy Season 4 Episode 5.

5. What is your favorite food?: Def burgers, yummmaz

6. What is the last thing you bought?: Thai food for lunch!

7. Favorite book of all time?: Mhmmm, I am such a book worm, lol. It has to be Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles, it’s the first book in a series but I have only read that one and i loved it.

8. Favorite Color?: teal/turquoise/pastel blue, so blue! But purple use to have my heart.

9. Do you have any pets?: I have fox terrier, his name is Boomer! He’s been by my side since I was 5, so about 15 years! He’s an old one and still going strong :) When I was younger, I befriended a stray kitten, I named her Geppetto, but she passed soon after we got comfortable, so my mom got me my boy and the rest is history. UPDATE: Sadly, Boomer passed September 2016 of old age, my heart is with him. UPDATE: September 2019 I got a Chiweenie named Kāholo! (Pronounces: Kaa-ho-low)

10. Favorite Perfume?: Forbidden from Victoria’s Secret, oh my it is intoxicating!!! UPDATE: “Bamboo” by Gucci. Oh em.

11. Favorite Holiday? : This is so hard, I love both Halloween and Christmas so much! I cannot choose. UPDATE: It is still hard but I think both holidays can be super fun and festive!

12. Are you married?: I am not.

13. Have you ever been out of the country, if so how many times?: I haven’t, I just only left Hawai’i last year to visit a friend in Vegas, and that blew my mind! UPDATE: Still have not left the country but would so love to go to Japan or South Korea!

14. Do you speak any other language?: I can partially speak my native language, Hawaiian. Pidgin, which is a language we speak in Hawai’i, though so much people don’t consider it one. It differs from English, a part of Hawaiian and such. Ex. “Ho howzit, cuz?” can translate “Hi, how you are?” or “Ai, try pass me dakine ova dea?” “Hey can you pass me that over there?” haha it’s hard to understand if you can’t speak it.

15. How many siblings do you have?: I have two older half-siblings. A brother and sister

16. What is your favorite shop?: Barnes and Noble, bookworm. UPDATE: Walmart lover.

17. Favorite restaurant?: A local place I looooove is a little place called Pono Market, all the grinds (delicious food) that represent Hawai’i can be found there. Like Poke, which is raw fish, yes we eat raw fish. It’s hella bomb

18. When was the last time you cried?: Today because I’m sure I failed my anatomy lab final. UPDATE: I cry a lot. After my dad passed and getting diagnosed with Uterune cancer a few months after (which now has become my life issues) and being on meds, my mind is A L W A Y S in shambles.

19. 20. Favorite Movie?: the Grinch! I’ll watch it anytime of the year. I also listen to Frank Sinatra Christmas music to go to bed. I’m one of those.

Favorite TV shows?: The Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, Stitchers, NCIS: Los Angeles, Jane The Virgin, Once Upon A Time, Hawaii 5-0, Timeless,Charmed, Everybody Loves Raymond, Golden Girls, Meet The Browns, Hannah Montana, That’s So Raven, Being Human, Lost Girl, Revenge, Hart of Dixie, The Gates, Secret Circle, The Originals, The Mindy Project, The 4400, Continuum, Grey’s Anatomy, Young And Hungry, and about 100 more.

25. Can you cook?: If that’s what you call heating up leftovers. Jk, my dad is chef so naturally, it’s a gift. UPDATE: My dad passed away January 2018 so it’s just me and my mom now, I took over the cooking and I love it. I wanna try so much things!!

Safe Haven | Tobias Eaton

The howling wind of Chicago has been blowing against you lightly as the sun begins to disappear.

It is your favorite part of the day, able to be along on top the highest building in the city when darkness is about to consume the previously lit sky.

“Figure you’d be here.” The hoarse voice of Tobias Eaton interrupts the void.

You peer over your shoulder to see the magnificent god sent human approach you, a slight smirk on your face. You keep your posture, arms resting against the rusty railing. It takes only a moment before he is besides you.

“It’s much more vivid from up here.” His eyes look around as the colors that were once dancing around were slowly being chased by deep blues and greys.

A light laugh seeps through your nose and he smiles at you, mimicking your stance.

“It’s better up here, more quiet. Easier to hear my thoughts.” You say breaking the slight awkward silence.

“Yeah? What thoughts are you able to hear?” He asks you.

This boy sure knows how to fill your cheeks.

“The ones that I forbid myself to hear during the day, the distracting ones. Like the ones about the future, about fixing things around here, you know the hard to comprehend thoughts.. the ones about you.” You seep out what you knew he is trying to get out of you.

“Me? I’m classified as distracting? Ouch.” He smiles at you.

You can’t help but release a laugh knowing that this is going to be the day that you give into what he’s been egging on for months.

“Well, maybe not a bad distracting, it’s more of a convenient distracting. When I get overwhelmed with the thoughts of my future, I think of you. And how maybe, just maybe your attempts of getting me to wake up before the sun with you could be something I’d do everyday for the rest of my time.” His flirtatious face has slipped and more serious one replaced it.

He steps closer to you.

“Serious answer. How do you feel about me?” His voice sturdy.

The oxygen you held in your chest exudes through your nose and you look at him after not wanting to,” I feel.. I feel like though this could be all I want, it could also be a sinking sand puddle that I won’t be able to get out of if things go south.

“Even things that are meant to be have their flaws. And you know that I have trust issues af-after him.” The lump forming in your throat again.

His hands slip into yours and he stands literally an inch away from you.

“You said it yourself, you think of me when you think of your future. Something that you categorized as fearful but I’m a safe haven for you. I’m not him, I won’t promise you the world then take it from you. I’m serious when it comes to my future, and I want you to be in it.”

After looking at your joined hands for a brief moment, you force yourself to look up at him. His tall figure basically towers over you.

Unable to put into words that you wanted to give it a try, you prop up onto your toes and attach your lips to his plump ones. He is captivated by your sudden action.

While your lips rest on each other, no movement yet, you close the tiny space and interlocking fingers. You both begin to move your lips together, in a passionate hunger.

Pulling back for air, he looks at you. Cupping your face with a free hand.

“To the future.” A smile once more, followed by many more kisses and brighter future ahead.
