when i came out to my parents, i sat them both down in the kitchen and told them that i wasn't straight. i was dating a girl at the time and told them that i was bisexual. they were kind of shocked and vaguely weirded out but they asked me a couple of questions and i answered as best i could. i am lucky enough to have parents who were/are supportive so i don't even think about it now, but that's how i did it. i'm wishing you the best of luck cait, i know this is scary and a big thing to do!

i think the only person i have the heart to tell is my mother, because my stepdad likes to say he isn’t homophobic but um. he is. and i feel like my dad would just be disappointed lmao.
