Summary:

“Yeah, will do,” James clung a second too long in the awkward side hug - he had to just let Will get back to whatever he was so desperate to get back to, “Later, man.”

Will didn’t look back until he was inside the lobby, by then James had gone and he could get into the lift and breath out for the first time in hours. What would life be like if he asked James to come up with him? If he was just part of their lives? If he knew there was a ‘their’ to be part of? He wasn’t sure if he could take seeing his big hazel eyes looking at him with hurt if he ever found out.
