aaaaa! hey! jamie, you're so excited, do you not use cameras often? or is it just this specifically?

“Not like this!” Jameson signs, calming down now and nervously pushing up his glasses as he realizes his actions. “Sorry sorry,” his hands show, cheeks blushing just a tad.

“I take pictures, and use cameras, but never of me! I haven’t seen myself in a moving picture in so long- oh but this one! This one even shows what I say, Johnathan look! I have messages just like them! Live subtitles! No more waiting!”

He gives a few happy clicks with his tongue as he watches what he signs play on the screen. They’re a bit slow, maybe one or two words off, but he doesn’t seem to notice it. He doesn’t see a thing wrong with the camera, really.

“That’s actually pretty cool..” Johnny says, smiling bigger as his friend beams. “Yeah. Alright. Chase was right, this isn’t so bad...”

“This is splendid! Absolutely splendid!”

oh, that's neat! i hope to eventually learn BSL and ASL! and the camera... usually on computer webcams, there will be a little light next to the camera if it's on, or a little camera symbol on the top of whatever webpage you're at!

You hear a mouse clicking, small, defeated sighs, and tip- tapping on a keyboard. Eventually foot steps fall from ear shot and the room goes silent, and about a minute later you hear a muffled voice speaking from afar, getting closer.

“It just won’t turn on or-“

. . .

“Ohhh- okay. Um- wait you have something blocking your camera, Chase probably put it on. No, no you’re not stupid- JJ it’s the same color as- pfft!”

Tape peels off the camera and someone’s sleeve is run across it a few times. Johnny and Jameson are standing beside one another, staring at the message and themselves on the screen.

Jameson begins to point and move spastically about as he sees himself move, dragging his friend back and forth and he tries to leave the lense’s eye.

Jamie brings two fingers to his eye, and drags them out toward the computer in a swift motion. He repeats it a few times, while Johnny nods and laughs.

Quickly, Jackson returns to his seat, desparetly calling his friend to do the same. They sit together in the camera view now, both smiling, though one is of pure excitement and thrill while the other is shy, but amused.

Johnny gives a nervous laugh, shaking his head good naturedly as Jameson signs a very happy “Hello!”

Lol I fell asleep about 5 minutes after sending that message last night so that’s good. Now all I have to do is drag myself through the school day and then it’s FINALLY the weekend so wish me luck

“Not a problem dear, we fell asleep too!”

He peeked into the living room and pointed, signing Jonathan’s name. “What a sleepy head, still dozing off at this hour. It’s almost noon!”

the upsides to my day,,, i watched barbie videos and doodled some things, if that counts as rad?? any particular opinions on barbie in y'all's household??

It’s the next morning now, their time slowly creeping into afternoon. Jameson has you propped up on the kitchen counter, and behind him something sizzles in a pan. He wears a white button up and black pants tucked into higher socks, and his suspenders are worn snug around his shoulders. A common fashion trend of his era.

“I actually quite enjoy them,” he signs, still so thrilled by seeing his words just pop into view like that. “They have so many more dolls than what we had in my day. It’s truly amazing!”

It’s 12:40 in the morning where I am but,, Jameson. You’re too adorable to resist not watching. I have to go to sleep or I know Henrik (or my parents, who knows) will see this and yell at me but you know what, I’m here for the ride and nobody can stop me lmao

Jameson smiles at your compliment, thanking you once and touching his heart twice.

“Get some sleep, poppet! Take care of your brain!”

“Rad? No. Just worked all day, it was slow so I left early though.”

“You did find fifty pounds in your pocket!”

“Oh yeah!” John says, snapping his fingers. “I found fifty pounds, went to lunch with James here. It was fun. That was.. ‘rad.’ What about you?”

“Yes, yes did you do anything fun today?”
