Anyways this post contains spoilers if you follow me for the jw rp and don’t care about the spoilers feel free to read.)) “IS YOUR FIRST NAME James?” “Yes.” I replied with a stoic face. I was in a room of what would have been a normal office anywhere else in America. This was located in Virginia, and was owned by a front company created by the CIA. I was halfway through day one of my three-day CIA processing evaluation. Even with my past experience with the agency I still had to pass the medical and phycological screening test to officially join the ranks. It was, after all, Bureaucracy. ‘John’, as I have chosen to name my ‘interrogator’ had connected a polygraph to my person or, as the people colloquially call it, a lie detector. The rumor says it doesn’t work but it’s used to scare the person. Maybe I’m about to find out. “Have you ever lied to get out of trouble?” I paused. “Yes.” “Do you intend to answer these questions truthfully?” Another pause. “Yes.” “Have you ever committed a crime for which you were not caught?” “Yes?” “Are we in Virginia?” “Yes.” “Have you ever committed murder?” “Ah…” “Just yes or no, please.” I saw the polygrapher make a note. “Are you a United States citizen?” “Yes.” Through my peripheral vision, I saw the polygrapher make another notation and adjust a setting on his laptop. *Great. Maybe it did work. * “Have you ever been part of a group that has wanted to overthrow the United States government?” “Let’s try this again,” ‘John’ said in a tone that meant exasperation. “Be sure to answer yes or no honestly. And remain completely still.
