“Whatever you WANT is NOT worth my time. SCURRY.”
The Captain’s words are flavoured BITTER, reeking of the WHISKEY clutched in his REMAINING hand. He was NOT in the mood to entertain one of Shadow Pan’s subjects or WHATEVER this boy was.

The man wasn’t his normal, cheerful relaxed self. It wasn’t OFTEN he let his nature GET the best of him like this & he was holding it off the BEST he could.
Bright blue eyes were shut TIGHT, the lids over them almost VICE like as he pressed the heels of his hands to his TEMPLES.
He could feel himself slipping, feel himself LOSING & he took in a deep breath. The SHARP inhale revealed a familiar scent & his eyes BRIEFLY opened.
“N-now isn’t really a G-GREAT time to visit, James...” he murmured softly.
While he & James weren’t EXACTLY close friends he didn’t want him to see him like this. He also didn’t want to end up HURTING him somehow.

“That was AGES ago though. He keeps more to himself nowadays.”

@james-rosier con't from {x} Likely?” He groaned and tried to stay still, whining at the pain and freaking out as he stared at the knife.
“Just tell me how it is, don’t lie. I want to know. Alright, I’m ready.” James was completely unsure about all of this. He figured he was definitely going to die.
The more pain the younger man seemed to be in the more unease mounted in the dragon's stomach though it didn't show on his face.
He'd been aiming for the man behind James but a noise had distracted him at the last second. The intended man in question was dead but the last time he'd seen a living person bleeding in front of him like this...
He could see Ashlyn now, promising he would be okay, promising that she would always be with him and he pushed those thoughts away because thinking of Ashlyn wouldn't help this boy.
He composed himself as he grabbed the knife and quickly pulled it it out of James and looked over the boy, breathing a sigh of relief.
"You'll live. You'll be in pain. But you'll live," he muttered, as he stripped the dead of his shirt and began binding the wound with the cloth.
He didn't think a dying human could shake him like this but the vision of Ashlyn shaking in his arms, her own blood staining her teeth, as she used her last breaths to comfort him did make it difficult to do what he was doing without trembling hands.
@james-rosier cont. “I can’t make any money if I don’t ship it. How am I supposed to come up with anything if you won’t let me? Just. give him a good reason and I will get your money.” ///// "Uh... no dice, jimmy. I'm not you're fuckin' babysitter, or your friend." Numbers sneered at the other, tapping his gun against his knee. "So either you find a way to pay up, or I take a thumb. Normally, see, I'd kill you. But I ran the numbers. You owe so much, that if I did kill ya...it'd be a net loss. Fargo doesn't like net losses, Jimmy."
Who needs reasons when you’ve got heroin?
“My boss does.” His answer was so straightforward, clearly tired of this junky already. “So you ain’t shippin’ shit, ‘till we have a reason for it.”
