i know my mutuals don’t really use tumblr anymore but i just want to post this so it’ll be part of my blog forever: yesterday i did the standby line for the tonight show and i got in and i got to see jimmy AND when he asked if anyone had any questions when they were setting up for the musical guest he called on me and spent the entire time answering and talking about my questions that he didn’t have time to take any other ones. but he kept talking TO me. i was in the back row so he kinda had to move a little to make sure i could see him and wow it was just the best moment and it was probably five minutes of him talking about my questions and to me and i love him so much that’s all <3

So we got to the Today Show right before they started to let people in and I went and I had a decent spot. So at one point Hoda was in the studio, which is rare until the fourth hour, so I asked the guy on the plaza (his name is Alex and he is awesome) if Hoda was going to come outside and he said yes. I dropped my poster, I couldn't believe it. I was going to be in the same place as my hero. He asked me if I liked Hoda (since I was freaking out) and I said yes and he told me when she was going to come out and stuff so yeah. Then the regular anchors came out and I got a selfie with a very pregnant (but still gorgeous) Savannah:
And then the chick from the sirius xm station (her name is Jessica) came over to our corner and asked if any of us had gotten a picture with Savannah and I said I did and so she interviewed me and I started talking about Hoda and she realized that I was the girl that she follows on twitter, and I had tweeted something about "@hodakotb if you come out on the plaza this morning I will cry" And Jessica had favorited the tweet and she told me she had tried finding Hoda to show it to her and so then she promised she would get me to meet Hoda. Then Alex came over and was like "Hoda's going to be out here soon, don't you want to move to the other side?" so then I told him what Jessica said and he said "okay let me check." And so Hoda came out at the other end and then Alex came back over to me and my mom and was like "meet me at the corner" and he let us into the plaza. Like I was practically crying then and he was like "wait here" and he got Hoda and brought her to me and then this happened:
So I got to talk to her and thank her and then she pulled me out onto the plaza and introduced me to the crowd and then we took a selfie and Alex took our picture too. At one point she realized I was wearing the Forward ring and she was like, "awww you even have the ring!" and she hugged me again. And then we took the selfie. And then Alex said that we could just stay on the sidelines until the show was over, so we did. When Hoda walked past us to go back inside I said "thank you Hoda!" and she turned around and pointed at me "no, thank you!" It was so perf.
So when we got to the Tonight Show I was like crying in the area outside of Studio 6B because it was so perf and I was paranoid and a little scared about asking for an aisle seat, but when we got in there, the page told us to sit in the four seats next to the aisle so I practically screamed and jumped into the aisle seat. When Higgins announced Jimmy's name and Jimmy came running out I was crying. The show was so perf, my favorite parts were during the commercial breaks. After the Mirren Mirren sketch, Jimmy pranced over to Higgins and kissed him on the cheek and after the interview with James Cameron, Jimmy was showing anybody that would look the watches. It was adorable. And then they spent so much time talking about his truck and it was actually cut short for tv so there's that. And when Higgins asked if he ate Chipotle while driving his truck was probably my favorite part that aired. Oh, and during the first time Spoon sang, Jimmy was rocking back and forth like it was so cute all I watched was him. And so at the end he started on the other side, gave high fives and I was freaking out. Here was my moment. So I stepped out a little further into the aisle and held my arms out and he smiled and hugged me. While my head was on his chest I said "thank you." And then the hug was over and he looked at me with a huge smile and said, "aww thank you pal." I was sobbing. He finished it up and walked off the stage and then the Spoon band had to do their performance again (that was the one that aired) and all I could think about was that I had just hugged Jimmy and he called me pal. Overall, that was the best day of my life.

For the record, jimmy fallon smells like heaven.
