Jamie still didn’t look towards him, but even from his side profile, Roy could see Jamie was dubious of the statement, his jaw still tight with tension.
“Why now? They teach you to have a fucking soul at those anger management classes?”
“Maybe,” Roy said and continued honestly. “I wish I could tell you but I can’t fucking figure it out myself or provide a better explanation.
Extent in chapter 3 of rage, rage against the dying light (more Jamie spiraling):
Roy knew they were both in hospital, but Jamie was unsure if Roy realised the extent of either of their injuries. Jamie hadn’t previously paid much attention to the orthopedist when he was concerned about Roy. But he remembered timetables of six to eight, eight to twelve, sixteen weeks all bandied about. Jamie wasn’t worried about them then, but now he was. Now, he was very worried.
So the only square I have is from a silly little fic I've written but haven't finished where Roy's sister is actually also named Jamie :)
“Jamie Squared,” Jamie Tartt smiles.
“Oh, I like that. But I’m Jamie #1,” she says.
“Well, I think I would be Jamie #1,” Tartt starts.
“I’m older. And I’ve known Roy the longest. I’d be Jamie #1”
“Yeah, but it was my idea,” Jamie pouts.

James left when Jamie was two months old, but Georgie wasn't phased. In fact, she was relieved. I cannot for the life of me find the original post but @lunar-years made a post about if they come back for a season 4 and actually give Roy’s sister a name it’s going to mess with so many fics and I got the idea of WHAT IF Roy’s sister’s name is…JAMIE!
Roy doesn’t want Jamie Tartt to know because he’d be insufferable. And Jamie’s met her a bunch of times and feels awkward asking now and Roy offers Phoebe and Keeley a thousand pounds NOT to tell Jamie.
Eventually Dr O’Sullivan tells him but in typical fashion lots of Who’s On First Shenanigans ensues.

Rebecca started from basically the line of “No one tells you how devastating it is to lose your father while he’s still alive.” And then I basically delve through Rebecca’s relationship with her parents and somehow also then added in Rupert. It’s basically a lot of unconnected paragraphs and observances at the moment. But one day I will fully dive into it!
Jamie Squared started from someone’s post on here (that I will find if I ever post the story lol) about if TL comes back and they finally give Roy’s sister a name all our stories are going to be messed up lol And then I sent an ask to that poster that what if her name was also Jamie. Then basically I wrote a 900 word story about Roy not wanting Jamie to know they have the same name and Jamie not wanting to ask because he’s met her a few times now and feels awkward and Roy offering Phoebe and Keeley a thousand pounds not to tell Jamie. And then Roy’s sister eventually giving in and telling Jamie Tartt but of course him not understanding and having a Who’s on First moment. And then they terrorize Roy as Jamie Squared.
