a lot of thoughts on spider verse under the cut + a lil sketch

I have a lot of thoughts about it that I haven't been able to resolve since I've only watched it once and I'm pretty removed from any extra information/the fandom; but I'll give it an 8.5-9/10!

The animation was amazing, everything was so masterfully planned and placed and designed (especially looking at what art the concept artists have been posting), the one thing that was lacking for me was either too much or too little character interactions at times.

In the sense that there could've been better paced dialogue or actions that characters were taking. A lot of it was balanced and well made; just for me — I would've liked to see some of the interactions be wholly dealt with conversational resolutions or conflicts that stay as is and don't have any loose ends that maybe have a potential to be untangled later.

(but I think that^ calls for a rewatch and analysis away from the visual immersion)

Of course these had to be my favourite spiders—very banal of me—but I just think they got the most interactions between each other that felt nice and natural!

Miguel was great as well! I really want to know what his lament truly is/will be; he seems very self absorbed with tunnel vision so that's a lot of things to throw at him in part 3!
